As we approach Christmas. It is a time of celebration and joy but it is hard for many as we will be missing our loved ones. They may not be here physically to share the joy but they are still with us in our thoughts and minds. Death takes so much from us but it can not and will not take our love and memories from us.

A ceremony should reflect the person, so discuss what is important to them, and you. A celebrant works with you to ensure that the ceremony is a true reflection of your loved one.

As a family that is organising a burial or cremation for your loved ones through a Funeral Directors you can choose a Celebrant should you already know one or have seen someone at a previous service. The Funeral Director will always recommend but you are also in your right to request someone you know. Most Funeral Directors will contact the Celebrant on your behalf and arrange the meetings etc.

Met a lovely family this week who are arranging a send of for their loved one. They mentioned Andy's Man Club as a charity they would like to support. This is one that was not familiar to me.

So if there is any men out there that would like some support with mental health then do reach out to your local group. Andy's Man Club provides a safe space for men 18 and over where you can speak openly about your mental health in a judgement free, non-clinical environment.

Use our map to find your nearest ANDYSMANCLUB group. All our clubs meet on Mondays at 7pm and any man over 18 can attend.
