Senior Care Assistant

Job description
At Leiston Old Abbey we have continued to achieve a good status with cqc and we would like to employee dedicated committed staff to complement our already excellent team.

Knowledge and Experience

To have or be willing to work to a level 3 QCF
You will need to have been in a senior role for at least 1 year.
To be able to write and update care plans
To have an understanding of person centred care
Knowledge of the care standards
To have worked with clients with Dementia
Main Tasks and Responsibilities

Delivering a high standard of care
Maintaining high standards within the home
Dealing with outside professionals
Giving clients medication as per policies and procedures
Dealing with emergency's
Occasional On-call
Sharing your knowledge and coaching inexperienced carers
Promoting the service
Other Duties

Escorting clients on trips out and proffesional visits
Ensure the dignity and respect of every resident
To use your own initative
To work unsupervised

Night Care Assistant

Leiston Old Abbey is a residential home situated near the old Abbey. We cater for residents with and without dementia.

We are looking for staff to join our team during the night

This is two week rotational shift worked over a seven day period. 20.00-08.00

We have part time or full time vacancies for the right people.

We want to enhance our already top notch staff team with people who are caring, organised, flexible, reliable and willing to develop themselves.

1 years minimum care experience is needed for the position. Medication trained is desirable

We provide full training and a uniform.

The hourly rate is £10.20
