Celebrating Trustee Week - with Julie Thornby

For me, being a trustee is a great opportunity to be part of a much wider team working to improve the lives of disabled and older people and their families.
As trustees we all bring different experiences and skills to our organisation- as disabled people, carers and people with an interest in the services our charity provides.
By giving a little of my time to work with the organisation's managers and other trustees, I feel I have helped in a small way to plan for the future and support the organisation and its staff and service users.
I really enjoy learning about new things, meeting new people, and using my own experience and skills to contribute to something that makes a positive difference to people's lives
