SEE YOU AT THE FESTIVAL!!
Very excited to announce that New Moon Yoga will be at this year’s Little People Love Letchworth festival on Saturday 12th July!🥳
Come find me in the chill-out zone, in the community garden area behind Cultivo for a little moment of calm
I’ll be starting the day at 10am for a mindfulness session that everyone can join in with, and will be running pre-bookable small group workshops to make mindful glitter jars! Link in bio!
We’ll also be in our chill-out tent throughout the day with colouring and calm music. Perfect for anyone who wants to take a little time away from the main action happening in town

MEET THEM WHERE THEY ARE 💜
This week, that meant curled-up in their yoga mats for the first 5 minutes of the session, and that was absolutely fine.
Zen Den is a safe space for children to be themselves. To use their bodies to express how they are feeling that day, however that is and whatever that looks like. That is absolutely fine.
If they want to join in with all, some, or none of the practices that day, that is absolutely fine.
I am there to hold space and guide, but ultimately I am lead by the children in the room, and I meet each of them where they are with compassion and understanding.
And if that means that I come in the room to 7 yoga mat pots with little yogis inside, then that is absolutely fine 💜

YOGA IN NATURE 🌱
One of the (many) brilliant things about yoga, is that it can be tailored for most settings…like out in a Forest School!
I had a lovely afternoon with the children at Splat Day Nursery out in the shade of their woodland kitchen area. We made yoga shapes with our bodies to my story of ‘The Cow Who Couldn’t Find His Calm’ and then talked about how they can find their calm by taking a moment to pause and breathe 🐮
I was so impressed with how well they all listened to the story, and tried out the poses. I especially loved how they all had a few moments of stillness and joined in with my calm song about breathing at the end.

✨ZEN DEN FEEDBACK ✨
It means so much to hear that the Sunday Zen Den sessions are providing L with a space that feels safe for them to express themselves and be who they want to be 💜
Although i always plan the sessions in advance, i am lead by the children every week, and adapt what we do to the energy in the room and how they are feeling. 💜
If they want to flow, we all flow together.
If they want to sit, I hold space for them to sit.
If they want to move their bodies in the way that feels best for them that day, then I give them the freedom to express themselves.
I meet them where they are on the day, and I make sure that they know that it is ok to be who they are and feel what they feel.
