✨ My Mental Health Journey ✨

My mental health battle started on May 20th, 2012 — the day my life completely turned upside down.
Over time, things got worse. I lived in fear every single day. The anxiety and paranoia were crippling… I would check outside the blinds before going to my car, change which door I used for the post, and stay awake most nights after hearing any loud noise.

By 2021, I’d had enough. I decided it was time to take control and signed myself up for a mental health exercise course.
I’d already been a yoga and Pilates teacher since 2017, but I didn’t have the confidence—or the self-belief—to push my goals. I needed to fix my head first.

That course didn’t just help me heal; it gave me the tools to help others. It reignited my passion and shaped my career as a personal trainer and mental health advocate.

As I began to heal, some people fell away. Some even said, “Who do you think you are?”
But I kept going. I started hill walking, beach walking, doing CrossFit, and embracing movement in every form.

My healing journey hasn’t been linear, but I’ve done it all through exercise, self-work, and opening up to others—therapists, life coaches, and friends.

I’m proud of the woman I’ve become. And I’ll continue to grow, move, and work on myself until the day I pop my clogs (hopefully at 102! 😄).

The glow-up is real 🌟
Keep pushing through—no matter how hard it gets.
Winter can be tough for me, but I’ve got a plan in place this year (and a wee holiday to the sun in March ☀️).

Remember: we’ve got this.

🌟 As we head into November and December, don’t forget about you! 🌟

It’s the most stressful time of the year, so make sure you take some time out for yourself — whether that’s with a bit of yoga, Pilates, or a sports massage. 🧘‍♀️💆‍♂️

I’ve just had to cancel my wee holiday to Tenerife over Christmas and New Year as I’m (hopefully!) moving house instead — so I’ll be working right through and only taking the bare minimum time off...🧘‍♀️🧘‍♀️🧘‍♀️
