Welcome welcome!

This page is a place to hang out, get a feel for Gather and what we want to create in the world and to see whether you might like to join our community of practice.

And if you don't, you are still more that welcome to stick around for interesting content, discussion and collective pondering!

Gather is a community of practice for practitioners who want to change world whilst changing lives.

Based on:

* Personal & Social Transformation
* True Belonging - which includes difference
* Building bridges across polarities
* Ethical and purposeful business

We have launched our first local hub and community of practice in Lewes, East Sussex and are now looking for private practice practitioners all over the UK to join our online community of practice that we will launch in January 2022. You will receive

* oodles of support (via our regular facilitated events)

* gentle challenge to continue progressing in the depth of your work

* promotion of your practice on our website to receive client referrals.

We also hold space for collaboration and co-creation of innovative and purposeful projects to support our communities towards greater belonging - to self, to each other, to the world.

In part, Gather was founded to disrupt the current trend towards the commodification of mental health, which can be seen in the proliferation of services such as Betterhelp. We want to create a large enough community of ethical, well-paid practitioners to counter some of this trend and to make sure that those supporting clients are themselves fully supported.

Our longer-term aim is to create multiple interconnected local hubs with local communities of practice across the country so that we are supported by both online and local belonging. We believe that belonging is a vital part of human health and so are working to remedy the isolation of private practice.

There is currently no membership fee for joining the Gather Community of Practitioners. In order to stay true to our values, we offer this support in return for 2 hours per week donated to either our low-cost service or to a facilitated low-cost group. The low-cost fees from clients go to Gather to support our work.
This way Gather acts more like a healthy life-affirming ecosystem and a model that we've coined "cycle of care". Giving and receiving, sustaining and being sustained.

Furthermore, to fund our advertising campaign we take a referral fee for clients referred via our website. This also means that we are not requiring you to invest money without at the same time supporting your sustainable income via referrals.

Please note that registration is currently closed for our online community of practice, but you can join our wait-list to find out as soon as it opens.

Therapy Rooms Lewes (and so much more)

The embodied world seems to be waking up again and so is this beautiful space! For ethical therapists of any flavour who are seeking a space in which to welcome clients back to face to face contact, please consider the stunning Gather Rooms. We are able to offer our rooms at rates much lower than other similar spaces and in doing so, hope to support important healing work in our community.

All three of our rooms have the capacity to provide socially distanced one-to-one work, and our large room could also host couples and small groups. Sanitising products will be provided so that contact surfaces can be cleaned between sessions. Come check us out www.togather.co.uk

Please note that we are not currently set up for massage or beauty therapy.

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has." Margaret Mead

Chuffed to share that our first change-maker gathering has now "sold-out". We are looking forward to welcoming this first group of pioneers to the event. We'll be asking you to help us wildly imagine what a community of change-makers could look and feel like and what kind of belonging our lives need in order for us to thrive in work and self.

For those interested but without tickets, please click through and sign up to the waitlist. We'll get in touch if a space opens up, or you'll be the first to know about our next gathering.

At the heart of Gather is a simple belief that human beings flourish when they experience belonging. As change-making practitioners, our work is often isolated and this just doesn't add up. This first gathering of many is a collective step towards creating a community for change.

At the heart of Gather is a simple belief that human beings flourish when they experience belonging. As change-making practitioners, our work is often isolated and this just doesn't add up. This first gathering of many is a collective step towards creating a community for change.

We invite you to join us at Gather on Saturday 15th February between 5 - 8pm.

We will break bread (and eat soup!) together for the first time, share our vision and invite you to share yours, of the kind of belonging you want to foster in your life, and how Gather might meet this be-longing in you and support you to fully bring your gifts forward.

Our monthly gatherings will be at the heart of a process of exploring belonging together - a soulful, supportive and inclusive space that will offer celebration, playfulness, deep self and group reflection and exploration, nurture and challenge - towards greater authenticity - and the possibility of building new bridges of connection in our lives and in our culture.

Spaces are limited so if you’re feeling the call to be a part of our first gathering, sign up now. We will be happy to welcome you.

Our first cosy co-working morning was a wonderful success. Started with a morning grounding exercise, a poem and setting our intentions for the morning. Then time for working and time for connecting. Thank you all.

If you are interested in a beautiful, warm and relaxed co-working space please get in touch with your availability. I will plan more based on demand.

It is a great, great pleasure to let you know that the Gather Rooms are now open for business in Lewes. The project took a lot longer than expected to complete and the building required more tenderness, love & care than at first envisaged, yet now that it is finished I can wholeheartedly confirm that the space is phenomenal. It has been worth the wait!

Three stunning rooms have been set up for individual, couples and group work. And one larger room can hold circles, workshops and coworking days. These are ready for bookings as of right now, so please get in touch to arrange a visit and a chat.

To celebrate the opening we are offering a Special Launch Offer:

The first 3 people to book a regular weekly time (one hour/ 3 hour block/ half-day/ full-day) in one of the Gather Rooms will receive an ongoing 20% discount on room rental for this timeslot. For example, a 3 hour block in our medium-sized room would be £16 (only £5.33/hour) instead of £20.

Our world is broken. Increasingly our inner worlds are broken too. At Gather, we believe the two are intrinsically interrelated and therefore that the healing of one cannot occur without the healing of the other. In the world of therapeutic growth, we envision that group work can be part of the solution to both our individual and our collective suffering. Check out our two current therapeutic groups run by our founder Jo Byron-Russell.

If you are a group facilitator of any flavour and would be interested in offering groups and/or workshops that align with our values - Personal & Social Transformation, Belonging, Community, Purpose, Creativity, Accountability - please get in touch.

At Gather, we are in the business of helping people find their way back to themselves, to each other and to a wider sense of belonging. Groups help us understand our patterns of relating and give us an opportunity to try out new, more authentic, ways of being. They provide solidarity and support alo...
