“Can we drop the idea that 2026 has to be your year?”
Here’s a gentler truth.
You don’t need a breakthrough year.
You don’t need a transformation.
You don’t need to become a new version of yourself overnight.

What if 2026 is just…
the year you take smaller steps?

The year you rest when you’re tired.
The year you stop speaking to yourself like an enemy.
The year you don’t quit on yourself just because progress is slow.

Healing isn’t loud.
Growth isn’t linear.
And doing your best can look very ordinary.

You’re allowed to go slowly.
You’re allowed to start again.
You’re allowed to be kind to yourself.

Between Christmas and New Year, everything feels like it pauses.
Routines disappear.
Usual clubs stop.
Gym classes take a break.

For many, it’s rest and recovery.
But for others, this quiet can feel very loud.

If your routine helps your mental health, this period can be especially tough.
Loneliness can creep in when distractions fade and support systems pause.

This is your reminder to reach out.
Send the message.
Make the call.
Invite someone for a walk or a coffee.

And if you’re struggling yourself; you’re not weak for finding this hard.
You’re human.

Let’s look out for those who might be on their own this Twixmas

Mistakes are ok, I’m a bit grumpy this morning. There are changes happening in a couple of my happy places which throws me slightly, frustration at not feeling heard can lead to me being distracted and not quite on form. This is where self compassion comes in. What do you need today? Are you telling yourself off for feelings? Change brings up stuff - that’s ok

Greybear’s Christmas goals:
1. Attack baubles
2. Cause carnage
3. Pretend he has no idea why the tree fell over. Greybear launching himself into the Christmas tree is the exact energy I’ve carried all week.
Between flu, life curveballs and perimenopause doing whatever it wants… honestly, I get him. 🎄😼🔥
