Here are the top 5 excuses I hear… and why they’re bu****it.

1. ā€œI can’t afford itā€

Nobody can afford anything that truly benefits them. If you can afford a takeaway a week, you can afford to get in the best shape of your life.

Personal training with me, with proper in-person sessions, starts from less than £5 a day. That includes all your nutritional guidance and on-tap support as standard. No preference for clients who pay more.

I pride myself on being an AFFORDABLE PT. I’m not in it for the money. I’m in it because I’ve lived it twice, and I want to help people become their best selves. If I was a millionaire, I’d do it for free.

2. ā€œI need to get fitter before I startā€

That’s like saying you need to get smarter before you go to school.

You don’t hire a coach because you’re already fit. You hire one because you’re not where you want to be yet.

My job is to meet you exactly where you are. Whether that’s never stepped foot in a gym, terrified of the weights area, or starting again after years off.

You don’t need to be fit.
You just need to be willing.

3. ā€œI don’t have timeā€

You don’t have time, or you don’t prioritise it?

I’ve coached single parents. Shift workers. Business owners. People doing 60+ hour weeks.

You don’t need six days a week and two-hour sessions. You need structure. A plan that fits your life instead of taking it over.

No, you don’t.

Discipline disappears when you’re stressed, tired, emotional or busy. That’s called being human.

Michelangelo’s David took over 3 years to sculpt.

Before that, the marble block had been discarded by two other sculptors —
deemed too flawed to work with.

There was never anything wrong with the stone.

Sometimes it just hasn’t met the right hands yet.

This isn’t a sales pitch — just a bit of motivation for anyone who started January with the best of intentions, and found the first month harder than expected.

This is me.

Not just a before and after —
but the whole journey.

• I was morbidly obese (class III obesity).
• My GP told me I wouldn’t see 30 if I didn’t lose weight.
• I lost 182lbs.
• My story caught media attention.
• Life went a bit f**king crazy for a couple of years.
• I built a career helping others do the same.

Then Covid hit… and I gained most of it back.

Not because I didn’t know what to do.
Not because I stopped caring.

Life happened — and I had a choice to make.

So I did it again.

It all starts with a spark.

Meet Darryl. What a LEGEND šŸ’ŖšŸ¼

When Darryl first came to me, he was ready to get fit after his weight had crept up through working from home.

Despite eating fairly healthy main meals, Darryl was a snacker. Chocolate, crisps, bread and butter… like most people, he didn’t realise the damage those in between bits were doing.

A few simple tweaks were made, and he fully committed to the process.

Fast forward to now…

Even with holidays, life, and a few bouts of illness, Darryl has stayed consistent and built strong habits that are now part of who he is.

His goal?

To be fitter, healthier and properly enjoy his early retirement with energy, confidence and no limitations.

Goal achieved 🫔

From 39.9% body fat (obese range) to 25.7% and counting, this didn’t come from extremes, it came from showing up and doing the work.
