We are delighted to announce the newest member of the Jay’s Phlebotomy Team made an unscheduled appearance at just after midnight on Friday morning 👶

Unfortunately he’s been a very poorly boy and whilst he seems to be improving the service will be very limited for a while he is in the NICU.

Hi, I'm Jay. The face behind Jay's Phlebotomy Service. I first became interested in phlebotomy about 5 years ago when I started working in health care after my career as a police officer was cut short prematurely.

I quickly realised I had a bit of a knack for it and enjoyed learning about all the different types of test and how they work.

I set up JPS after my wife and I needed to work more flexibly due to caring responsibilities and a full time NHS job was no longer viable.

I still work within that setting but on a part time basis now.

My role is to lead the business on a day to day basis, manage compliance for CQC registration as well as taking the blood! My wife Megan helps me by responding to most enquiries and arranging the bookings.

In my blood taking career to date I estimate that I have taken approximately 20,000 samples and that number is ever increasing! I hope that this service can be of use to you and your family and please reach out if we can be of any help!

HOW OUR SERVICE WORKS

At Jay's Phlebotomy Service we have got you covered. Whether you need blood taking for the GP/Hospital, tests you bought from another lab or provider or if you are looking to buy tests directly from us, we have a service for you.

Step one -

Find the tests you want. Either browse our website for the perfect test package or find a kit online that suits your needs. If you need help or advice choosing please don't hesitate to send us a message. If you're buying elsewhere please make sure you purchase a venous sample kit and not a fingerprick one.

Step two -

Once you know which package you want or want more information on please just get in touch. We are available on WhatsApp, Email, Text and the good old fashioned phone call 📱

Step three -

As soon as we've agreed a date and time you will receive two emails, the first will contain all the information about your appointment and some tips to help you prepare. The second will contact an invoice with a payment link, we kindly ask that payment is made 48 hrs before the appointment.

Step four -

Sit back in the comfort of your own home and wait for us to arrive during your 30 minute appointment slot. If you're putting the kettle on Jay's is milk and one sugar please!

Simple as that!

Please note standard appointments are 30 minutes, if you think you may need longer it's no problem but please just let us know so we can plan our diary.

AFTER THE APPOINTMENT

We will make sure you are comfortable and have stopped bleeding from the needle site before we leave. If you have bought tests through us your results will be sent directly to you with a personalised doctor's report so you can understand the results.

If you have bought your tests from another company they are responsible for the results and any follow up.
