We are taught so early on in life to hide the parts of us that feel ‘too much’.

The disorganised, the tired, the forgetful, the emotional, the chaotic, the confused and the list goes on.
The days when our brain just won’t cooperate even thought we really try!

So many of us carry shame, because we learned to mask what was simply our normal.

You don’t need to apologise for struggling.
You don’t need to minimise it with jokes or perfection.
You aren’t lazy, dramatic, or weak, you’re navigating a system that was never designed for your wiring.

Every time you stop hiding, you soften that shame.
Every time you tell the truth about how hard it can be, you remind someone else they aren’t alone.

You are allowed to be yourself, regardless of how others look at it. ❤️‍🩹

ADHD: all or nothing. There’s no middle setting 😅
Hyperfocus hero one minute, wall-staring, coffee drinking and napping champion the next.

A little reminder that, therapy doesn’t always have to be serious to be healing. 💛

If this picture speaks to you, maybe it’s your sign to finally give yourself the love you’ve been saving for everyone else, and start gently unravelling the years of pretending, together.

I specialise in late neurodiversity diagnosis, especially in women.
I’ve dedicated the last few years of my life to training, researching, and learning about what it means to discover your neurodivergence later in life.

I can help you understand your brain and behaviours better, develop healthy coping mechanisms, and finally step into who you truly are, without guilt, shame, or apology. 🌿

Worry almost never lives in the present.

Most of what we worry about sits in the space between what is happening and what might happen.
Our minds spin stories, our bodies tighten, and before we know it, we are carrying stress for something that may never come to pass.

Therapy helps you bring your attention back to the small, real, happening now moments.
That is where regulation begins. That is where safety grows again.

🌿
If your mind has been racing lately or you feel stuck in constant worry, let’s work on bringing you back to the present together.
You don’t have to hold it all alone.

Late neurodivergent diagnosis & grief

Getting a late neurodivergent diagnosis can and very often does come with relief, but for many women, it also brings a wave of grief.

Grief for all the years you were mislabelled.
Grief for how hard you tried to “cope” without the right support.
Grief for the version of you that might have existed if someone had seen the signs earlier.
Grief for the years you had missed out on, because you were too busy masking and trying to fit in.

This is a common, valid emotional response to having spent your life compensating, masking, or blaming yourself.

Post-diagnosis grief can look like:

- Anger at systems that failed you
- Regret about past choices made under pressure
- Emotional numbness or shutdown
- Feeling like you don’t know who you really are
And the list goes on…

I want you to know that this is normal.
It’s the process of coming to terms with a life shaped by misunderstanding, and starting to make different choices now that you know the reasons behind your thought process, behaviours and coping mechanisms.

You are allowed to feel it. You are allowed to be angry.
But most importantly, you are allowed to move forward.

If any of this rings true, and you are ready to start moving forward with your life - my space is open for you 😌✨
