✨WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY✨

The theme for this year is su***de prevention. The number of su***des since 2018 has risen, particularly for young people and men.

We should be concerned about this. Bringing su***de out from the shadows and talking about it gives us hope.

Here are 5 things you can do to support su***de prevention:

1. Talk to your friends, family and colleagues. Ask them how they’re feeling and encourage them to open up. Remember, it’s okay not to be okay.

2. Watch out for signs of distress and uncharacteristic behaviour. This could be social withdrawal, excessive quietness, irritability, or even talking about death or su***de.

3. Promote mental health awareness in your work place. Employees who feel valued are more likely to open up and talk.

4. Know what services are out there that support people with mental health issues. Even supporting someone to their GP to talk about feelings of su***de can make a huge difference.

5. Become an agent of change. Not just for today. Mental health affects us all, regardless of the time of year.

is a wonderful time for change. It reminds us of the nature in letting go of the things that no longer serve us.

This point in the year shows us the impermanence of what we already have, and creates space to harvest and welcome a new vision.

It can sometimes make us feel melancholic. The ending of summer’s warmth and light nights, and the prospect of cold and dark for months to come.

Use this time to reflect inwardly, and think about what it is you really want. Plant the seeds for next year, create that vision and make your goals so compelling it’s hard to say no.

The mind is a very powerful tool.

Consciously, we can choose what we want to see in our lives.

If you’re not sure about what you’ve really been thinking of, take a look around you. What are you presented with?

What you focus on increases, so whatever keeps showing up is what you’re focusing on and giving your energy to - you may not even be aware of it!

Your actions give clues to what you believe in too.

Awareness is the first step to allow yourself to choose new thoughts.

Give your mental energy to what you want, visualise yourself as if you have it now, and start feeling how you’ll feel when you’ve got it. ✨

Some thoughts before the bank holiday weekend starts...

Our basic needs in life are shelter, food and water, security, warmth and rest. We need this in order to survive.

Beyond these we have our psychological and esteem needs, belongingness and love, a support system around us to help push us further in life. Our own personal purpose and to fulfil this in order to reach our potential.

Put your monetary goals or worries aside, and think about what else it is you need in order to feel the best version of yourself.

When we learn to become better versions of who we are and stop sweating the small stuff, everything else will fall into place.

Recognise an opportunity at hand, stop looking for a secret trick, and accept help from the people who are willing to give it to you. ✨

Sometimes not knowing how to say “no” can be the enemy of your own personal productivity.

Putting the satisfaction of others before your own can be admirable and selfless. But when you start doing this unconsciously, you’re forgetting about your own needs and engage in behaviours that add no value to your life or personal growth.

Hi all!

My name is Lauren J Smith. I am a qualified NLP practitioner, certified in NLP Coaching, Hypnotherapy and Time Line Therapy™️.

As a client of Be, you’ll start to live the life you’ve always wanted. Having had my own personal experiences with NLP, hypnotherapy and Time Line therapy, I can honestly say it’s changed my life. Having removed all of the things that were holding me back, I’m now doing things I said I always wanted to do!

My goal is to get you from where you are now, to where you want to be.
