In March, we provided our local churches and the Good Funeral Company with bunches of daffodils for their Mother's Day services 🌼

In total, we had 1650 bunches of daffodils delivered to us, and out the door in 24 hours! 🌱

Have you all remembered to adjust your clocks? 🕰️ Daylight savings has officially arrived, and hopefully will bring the sunshine with it soon☀️

Also in March, David and Claire attended a SAIF meeting with the focal point being Direct Cremations. The theme was 'Taking Back the Narriative'.
Keep a look out for more information regarding direct/unattended cremations...💭

Lastly, thank you to St Benets Church for our thank-you card, and the Good Funeral Company for the pictures of the daffodils - we don't often get to see the services or daffodils in their full glory so it is lovely to see the other side too!

We are pleased to announce that The Good Funeral Company will be hosting our first ever "Death Café" in https://welsfordbistro.co.uk/ at Liverpool Cathedral this month 💚

💚 What is a Death Café?
A Death Café is a small, informal community gathering where people meet over coffee to talk openly about death, dying, grief and loss in a relaxed café setting.
💚 Purpose of the event
The aim is to break down the taboos around talking about death and make these conversations more natural, social and supportive.
💚 What we will talk about
Conversations may include bereavement and grief, what to do when a loved one dies, planning a funeral, or thinking ahead about your own wishes.
💚 Who is it for?
Open to anyone in the community! There is no agenda, belief system, or pressure to share personal experiences. Just listen, chat or ask questions.
💚 How it works
The session is gently facilitated by our local funeral celebrants who will guide the conversation, helping to keep the space respectful, welcoming and inclusive.
💚 More information can be found in our brand new "Events" section on our website- https://goodfuneralcompany.org.uk/services/events/

💚 All welcome! 💚

Thursday 5th Feb is 🗨️

Time To Talk Day is helping to destigmatize the talk around mental health problems. It's a day for everyone to come together and talk, listen, and change lives.

Talking openly and honestly can reduce stigma, help people feel comfortable, and even save a life.

''𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘣𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘬 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘩𝘶𝘨𝘦.''

There are still times when what we are living through can feel really big and difficult to talk about. Opening up about our mental health can be the first step towards getting help!

Reach out to your family and friends, invite them around for a brew and a chat, you won't believe how much that little bit of connection can mean to you and someone else. 💚

If you or someone you know would benefit from some extra support, please do not hesitate to reach out to Samaritans

As the year draws to a close we would like to thank all of the families who have trusted us to make funeral arrangements. It has been a privilege to help you.

This year through our in memory giving services MuchLoved.com and Funeral-Notices.co.uk we have received over £80,000 for good causes.

We have supported Woodlands Hospice with their 'Forget me not Appeal' and St Joseph's Hospice with their light up a life services including the new church service at St Peter and Pauls Church, Crosby.

We also supported the Alder Hey Children's Charity through participating in the Dragon Boat Racing and sponsoring Liverpool Womens Hospital Honeysuckle team's first baby loss awareness walk in the summer.

We have supported grass roots sports by sponsoring Litherland Remyca Reserves FC and recently signed to sponsor Firwood Waterloo Rugby Club's scoreboard.

We donated 1390 bunches of daffodils to local churches for Mother's day and 1500 oranges for Christingle services in our local area. Both lovely touching services.

We have supported Sefton Community Pantry CIC with their incredible work including dedicating our Christmas tree at St Faiths Christmas Tree Festival to them.

We held our first Christmas memorial service and were delighted with the response, we are looking forward to this becoming an annual event.

We are a small family owned business and can't do any of this without your support. Thank you so much.

Wishing you all a happy and safe new year.

Talking to a family at the weekend. They were told by a corporate funeral director that funerals are well into January now.

We are able to book funerals in the week between Christmas and New Year and also the first week in January.

Please choose independent local family businesses when choosing a funeral firm.
We are flexible and will try our best to accommodate your needs and tell your loved one’s story.
