The manufacturer has informed us that Diprobase ointment and Diprobase cream have been discontinued, for marketing reasons.

We’ve heard from a number of people who’ve been affected by the withdrawal of Diprobase ointment. We recognise how frustrating it is when an emollient that you’ve relied on for a long time to help control your eczema stops being available.

If you had Diprobase ointment on prescription, we recommend that you ask your GP for an alternative brand that is as close to the formulation of Diprobase as possible. If the alternative emollient you’re offered doesn’t work effectively for you, then we advise that you go back to your GP and ask for another emollient to try.

There are other emollients that are similar to Diprobase ointment, including 50/50 white soft paraffin and liquid paraffin. If you've found a suitable alternative, please share below!
