❄️ PA Spotlight: Winter moments that make a difference❄️
This winter, we’re shining a light on one of our wonderful PAs and the meaningful moments they share with their clients.
From cosy walks wrapped up warm, to enjoying a hot drink at a local café or taking part in seasonal activities, these small outings make a big difference.
Staying active and connected during the colder months helps boost mood, confidence and overall wellbeing. With the support of a PA, winter doesn’t have to mean staying indoors – it can still be full of fresh air, laughter and community.
It’s not just about getting out, it’s about having someone there to support, encourage and share those moments together. 💜

💜 Emotional Wellbeing: The importance of regular interaction 💜
Regular interaction isn’t just a nice-to-have, it’s essential for our emotional wellbeing. Meaningful conversations, shared activities and simply having someone to check in with can help reduce feelings of loneliness, boost mood and build confidence.
For many people, especially during quieter months or life changes, days can start to feel long and isolating. That’s where consistent social contact really matters. A friendly chat over a cuppa, a walk, or attending a local group can make a huge difference to how someone feels day to day. ☕🚶♀️
A Personal Assistant can provide that regular interaction and companionship, helping people stay connected to their community and maintain routines that support positive mental health.
Emotional wellbeing grows when we feel seen, heard and supported - not just occasionally, but regularly. 💫
"I can do most things - I just need support to get there"
This was a quote from one of our recent Service Users who suffered with anxiety and needed support from a Personal Support Assistant.
Living with anxiety can make everyday tasks feel overwhelming even when you're more than capable. That's why having the right support can make a huge difference 💜
For people with anxiety, a PA can gently bridge the gap :
📆 Attend appointments for reassurance
📄 Help make phone calls or fill in forms
🪷 Provide calm, grounding support in stressful moments
They do things "with" you, not "for" you!

💜 Support that fits you — Not the other way around 💜
Staying on top of routines, reminders, and planning can feel overwhelming, especially when pressure or judgement is involved. A Personal Assistant (PA) can help in a way that’s calm, flexible, and centred around you.
That might look like gentle reminders, breaking tasks into manageable steps, or planning days and weeks together at a pace that feels comfortable. No rushing. No expectations. Just support that adapts to your needs and energy levels.
For neurodivergent individuals, having someone alongside you can bring structure without stress, clarity without overwhelm, and encouragement without judgement.
Support shouldn’t feel demanding - it should feel safe, respectful, and empowering. 💜

💜 This Valentine’s Day, we’re celebrating companionship 💜
Valentine’s Day isn’t just about romance - it’s about connection, kindness, and being there for one another.
One of our Personal Assistants recently shared how something as simple as companionship can make a world of difference. A regular visit, a friendly chat, a short walk, or sitting together over a cup of tea can turn an ordinary day into something special.
For the person they support, knowing someone genuinely cares and shows up brings reassurance, confidence, and joy. For the PA, it’s a reminder that their role is about more than tasks - it’s about human connection.
💜 Companionship reduces loneliness
💜 Builds trust and confidence
💜 Brings comfort, routine, and smiles
This Valentine’s Day, we celebrate the quiet moments, shared laughter, and meaningful relationships that make life richer, because sometimes the greatest gift is simply not being alone. 💞

The Hub Care Support was founded in 2013. The Hubs founders had worked in the care sector for many years and had a vision of creating an organisation that places the Carers and those they support at the heart of everything they do, bringing the Care back in to Caring.
This meant changing everything, moving away from a traditional agency model to create a service that values the hard work and compassion that so many carers bring and also ensuring that they able to earn an income that their skills and commitment truly deserve.
We listened to the feedback of those that receive help and support in the community and have created a new way that lets them individually select the Carers that are invited in to their homes and lives, while making large financial savings over care agencies.
The Hub meets and hand selects every carer that is introduced to individuals seeking support. Every carer must meet the high standards that are required to be approved by the ‘Quality Care Approval Scheme’ including Mandatory Training in 18 subjects, Conviction free Enhanced DBS checks, Identity Checks, references and working within the QCAS Code of Conduct. The Hub supports the Carer through every step, help at hand when they need it.
The Hub proudly presents a register of high quality Carers that are there for anybody that may need some help or support, whether it is just companionship, shopping, on call or Personal Care needs. Allowing individuals that are looking for support to choose the Carer that provides this essential role in their family.
