🚑🔥 FREC 3 complete… and this week really chose violence 😅

This cohort didn’t just sit in a classroom. They managed knife wielding chaos, domestic incidents and an RTC scenario that escalated faster than anyone expected 💪

Here’s what they were up against:
🩸 Catastrophic bleed with a very committed “knife enthusiast”
🏠 Domestic stabbing incident that went from calm to chaos quickly
🚗 RTC scenario featuring…
🫀 A driver having a heart attack at the wheel
💔 A motorcyclist in traumatic cardiac arrest after impact
🧠 A head injury patient who became confused, loud, distracting and absolutely determined to stand in the worst possible place at all times
🫁 Airways that needed sorting immediately
🚨 Patients deteriorating right on cue

That RTC scenario was next level. Managing a cardiac event that caused the collision, while simultaneously dealing with a traumatic cardiac arrest from the motorcyclist, all while maintaining scene safety and controlling a very “energetic” head injury patient… that’s proper leadership and teamwork being tested 👀

The way this group handled it was impressive. Clear communication, structured assessments and calm decision making under pressure 👏

From slightly nervous starts on day one to confident, capable clinicians by final scenarios, the progression has been brilliant to watch. FREC 3 is intense, hands on and designed to push you outside your comfort zone. This cohort stepped up every time 💪

Huge well done to every learner. Qualification earned, confidence built and probably a lifelong distrust of scenario actors with props 🔪😂

Massive shoutout to our instructional team as well for keeping scenarios realistic, standards high and caffeine levels critically maintained ☕

🚑 Another Week Done, Everyone Survived, We Call That a Win 🚑

This week has been full of medical gas training, oxygen cylinders everywhere, flow rates debated like life depends on it, and at least one person asking “are you sure it’s on?” while staring directly at the open valve.

We wrapped things up with a Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work, delivered to a brand new client in the care sector. Great learners, loads of hands-on skills, and a room full of people who now know exactly what to do when things go sideways, without immediately reaching for Google.

We are really looking forward to hopefully working together in the future to develop a bespoke training programme for new staff members, because nobody wants their first day to involve blind panic and a fire alarm.

And let’s not forget our Specialist Medical Solutions side of things. A huge shout out to our site medics who have been out on site all week in some truly awful weather, staying professional, prepared, and somehow still smiling while the rest of us complained about the rain. Absolute legends.

Big thanks as well to the office team, the ones keeping everything rolling behind the scenes, juggling bookings, emails, calls, and the occasional “can this be done yesterday?” request.

A massive well done and thank you to all learners who have taken part this week, your engagement, effort, and sense of humour made it a great one.

🚑 Recent Training Highlights 🚑

Over the past 2 weeks we have been busy delivering a number of Level 3 Award in Administering Emergency Medical Gases courses to a local Emergency Response Team, and it has been great to see such strong engagement throughout, and we still have a few courses to go yet.

This course focuses on the safe use of medical oxygen and Entonox, patient assessment, indications and contraindications, equipment checks, and what to do when things do not go to plan. In short, it is all about giving responders the confidence to use lifesaving gases safely, effectively, and within their scope of practice.

There was plenty of learning, plenty of hands-on practice, and thankfully no one tried to turn the oxygen cylinder into a rocket, always a win.

A big well done to all learners who took part so far, your professionalism, questions, and teamwork really stood out. We look forward to delivering the remaining courses very soon.
