I spend most of my time teaching fasting for physical healing. This next fast of mine, it’s for spiritual alignment.
From 21–23 January, I am joining my church in a spiritual fast as part of Turn Back the Battle — a time set apart for fasting and prayer to realign ourselves with God and contend spiritually.

Ephesians 6:12 reminds us that the real battle is not physical, it is spiritual.
Fasting and prayer are not about self-denial for its own sake. They are about sharpening discernment, quieting the flesh, and strengthening the spirit. When the noise of constant eating, stimulation, and distraction is removed, clarity returns.
Fasting humbles the body so prayer can rise with authority.
Prayer aligns the spirit so fasting has purpose.
This is why fasting has always preceded breakthrough, not because it forces God’s hand, but because it positions us correctly in a spiritual war that cannot be fought with physical tools.
We do not wrestle with flesh and blood, and we do not win with flesh and blood either.
