Melting fat under the chin isn’t always the answer.
It’s one of the most common requests I see, but treating this area properly is a bit more nuanced than simply removing volume. The skin, structure and support all play a role in how the jawline looks.
If you take too much away in the wrong patient, especially when there’s already some laxity, you can actually make the area look looser and more aged rather than more defined.
This is where a more considered approach makes all the difference. Looking at how to support the skin, improve its quality, and tighten it, alongside any fat reduction where appropriate.
Sometimes the best results come from rebuilding, not removing.
