The kidney-shaped Ganoderma Lingzhi, better known as 🍄 Reishi 🍄 is a key ingredient in our blends. We also offer 30g tins ‘shredded’, rather like a loose tea.

An adaptogenic funghi, this hard, glossy red saucer is reputed to have anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, anti stress, antioxidant and blood pressure reducing effects to name a few. It is revered within Holistic medicine. Studies are still in their early days but we can say that Reishi’s polysaccharides, triterpenes and beta-glucans offer a host of powerful benefits.

Our Reishi grow on Ironwood trees deep in the Amazon jungle 🇵🇪 and are sustainably foraged by members of the Huitoto and Matsés tribes. Despite their exotic heritage, dont be put off by any ideas of complexity. We are here to make everything easy!

In your best pot, simmer 10g Reishi in 1.5 litres of water for 30 minutes. Allow to cool before storing in the fridge. Drink two cups daily (400ml), with your first before eating in the morning.

☕️ You can use your Reishi ‘tea’ as a replacement for water when brewing coffee on the stove top, or incorporate in the base of soups, risottos, casseroles and much more.

Working with farmers located in remote parts of the Peruvian Andes and Amazon—one of the most biodiverse regions in the world—it is our goal to support their communities as much as possible. That is why we are committed to donating 10% of our profits to Amantani, an organization that provides lodging, education and pastoral care to children with low resources in the Andes.

How can you join us in giving back?

In part with Amantani, we offer beautiful bracelets handmade by women from Ccorca, part of the highest district of Cusco at 4000m elevation. Artisans range in age from 20-60. Making bracelets and the income this generates provides them with a rare opportunity for independence, camaraderie and empowerment. 100% of the proceeds are given back to the very women who crafted them.
