What is NCTF? (and why I use it so often in clinic)

NCTF is not a filler.
It is not Botox.
It is one of my go-to treatments when the goal is better skin quality, not volume.

ℹ️Let’s talk expectations :

This patient came to see me with her main goal being to soften her nasolabial folds. Like many first-time patients, she wanted a visible improvement but was also mindful of budget — which I completely understand.

We agreed on 2ml of filler to support both the cheeks and nasolabial angle. From a clinical perspective, the result is natural and subtly rejuvenating. By adding volume to the mid-face, we achieved a gentle support that softened the lower face too.

However, as you can still see — the nasolabial folds haven’t disappeared completely. That’s normal. It’s important to understand that deep folds, especially in mature or dynamic faces, often require more product and time to reach a more dramatic transformation.
In this case, 3–4ml would have been more suitable to fully correct the concern.

But my job is also to respect each patient’s priorities including budget and first-time anxiety.

I just hope she knows this: I genuinely believe this treatment has brought real improvement, even if the folds aren’t fully gone. Aesthetic medicine is not about perfection — it’s about progress, harmony, and confidence.

✨ “I’d rather see my face aging than a face that doesn’t belong to me.” – This is a quote from Cameron Diaz talking about a bad experience with anti-wrinkle treatment.

I love this quote. It sums up how I feel about aesthetic treatments — they should never make you look like someone else.

For me, it’s all about keeping things natural. You can smooth, refresh, boost… without losing what makes your face you. That’s the whole point.
