2025 what a great year you have been!

We've seen our Beam Campaign begin to deliver vein finders to help children in hospital, events to help drive awareness and raise funds to support our work, fun times with our friends at the World Chelsea Bun awards and welcomed a new Trustee and new supporters.

Thank you to everyone who has joined us online, in person and with generous donations during 2025, we couldn't do this without you.

We've got big plans for 2026 and we're looking forward to working with you all. To help us do more, please donate - www.childrenssurgeryfoundation.org

Today, on World Children's Day, we celebrate every child. 💙

A special shout-out goes to all those who are unwell or spending time in hospital right now. You are in our hearts, and we're thinking of your families too.

Every child deserves the best possible care. That's why we're working to advance surgical care for children and young people throughout the UK, making their experience safer, kinder and less frightening.

Here's to every child, everywhere. Today and every day.

At Children's Surgery Foundation we want to use to thank our Trustees for all they do to help us enhance the experience of surgery for children across the UK.

In particular, we want to say a very special thank you and celebrate the amazing commitment of Munther Haddad , our Chair, who this year has served on our Trustee Board for a huge 25 years. With his unfailing support and absolute dedication, Children's Surgery Foundation has delivered ground breaking technology and industry guiding research and training which have directly benefited tens of thousands of young patients and their families across the UK, making their experience of surgery a positive one and improved the health and lives of so many children.

Munther has been at the heart of our operation throughout the last quarter of a century, driving paediatric surgery forward at every step. From all of our team here at Children's Surgery Foundation, THANK YOU - you truly are one in a million!

To every student who took part: ⁣
You are AMAZING! Thank you for choosing to make a difference. We are cheering you on every step of the way! 🎉⁣

On Thursday, St Paul's Cathedral School has taken on a sponsored walk supporting TWO causes that empower young people:⁣

Girls' Voices: Equal access to world-class music education ⁣

Children's Surgery Foundation: Enhancing surgical care for babies and children⁣

This is what young changemakers look like. These incredible students are using their energy, their compassion and their voices to make real change happen.⁣

What they are funding: Our nationwide Beam Campaign to make IV procedures less traumatic for young patients and families.⁣

Why we're so proud: When children step up to help other children, especially our most vulnerable babies and young patients that is definitely leadership. That is empathy in action. That is the future we are building together.⁣

They walked and made every single step count. ⁣

How you can still help: Support their walk! Link in the comments below.

Each step we take together builds a brighter future.⁣

Our Trustees, Munther Haddad and Caroline Pardy, recently hosted a drinks reception with Lady Frederick Windsor, our Royal Patron, in support of the Beam Campaign.

The Beam Campaign aims to transform the experience of children and their families by ensuring there are mobile ultrasound vein finders in each UK Tertiary Paediatric Surgical department.

We were delighted to hear from parents of children who have benefitted from the vein finder donated by the Foundation to the Evelina London Children’s Hospital.

It was also wonderful to welcome John Shepherd from Partridges Of Kensington, who has raised more than £30,000 for the Beam Campaign. Partridges run the annual World Chelsea Bun Awards and encourage participants to donate to the Beam Campaign.

Martin Brueton, who founded the Children’s Surgery Foundation more than 40 years ago, was also able to join us for an update on the charity's ambitious plans.
