❌ This is how an X-Ray from a 900 pounds man should look like.
☝️ Although this image is frequently shared along with the claim that they show an x-ray, MRI, or CT Scan of a severely overweight individual, they were not actually produced by any diagnostic equipment found in a hospital or other medical facility.
These images were created for a Channel 5 documentary (70 Stone And Almost Dead) about Keith Martin, a British man who weighed over 900 pounds.

Is it a good or a bad thing❓
▪️Scapular winging, sometimes called a winged scapula, is a condition that affects the shoulder blades. The shoulder blades usually rest flat against the back of the chest wall.

🔸Scapular winging occurs when a shoulder blade sticks out.
This can happen because the muscles are too weak or paralysed, a person's ability to stabilise the scapula is limited and this may cause 'winged scapular.
▪️However, in some cases☝️ like this one we can see some people with highly flexibility, mobility or people who have really good core muscles to develop the ability and have the control of their scapulas, bringing them off the rib cage and back on with no effort or any pain.
✔️So most of the time there is nothing wrong with these people it's just mean they might have more active and passive range of motion or even wings to fly 🦋

⁉️What is the quadratus lumborum muscle?
▪️The quadratus lumborum (QL) is the deepest abdominal muscle. It’s located in your lower back on either side of the lumbar spine. It starts at your lowest rib and ends at the top of your pelvis. It’s common to have pain here because you use this muscle to sit, stand, and walk.
⁉️What causes quadratus lumborum pain?
🔸Pain in the quadratus lumborum can be due to overuse, stress, and strain. Sometimes muscles cause pain and stiffness when they’re weak or too tight.
▪️Activities such as sitting for long periods of time can reduce blood flow to an area, especially in the QL and surrounding areas. Pain can also result from repetitive motions and weak back muscles, which lead to poor posture.
✔️How is quadratus lumborum pain treated?✔️
▪️You can treat quadratus lumborum in several ways. Manual Therapy, trigger point and Myofascial Release, core exercises, acupuncture and stretching are only a few ways to aproach it 😉.

Tight hips??

▪️A feeling of tightness across the hips comes from tension around the hip flexors. The hip flexors are a group of muscles around the top of the thighs that connect the upper leg to the hip. These muscles allow you to bend at the waist and raise your leg.
the main hip flexors are the:▪️Iliopsoas
🔸rectus femoris
▪️tensor fasciae latae
🔸sartorius

Many people have tight hips, from people who spend several hours a day sitting❌ to regular gym-goers and professional athletes. Some people are more prone to tightness in that area of their body, too. Tight hips may put you at increased risk for injury due to the increased demands on tissues that aren’t moving properly.
Foam roller stretches and hip flexor stretches or can help to relieve tightness in the hips.
⁉️When to use that technique?
Sometimes the hip joint seems blocked with the passive and active range of motion restricted. Then you can give a try and see amazing results only with one session

▪️A GROIN PULL or GROIN STRAIN

🔸 are the results from putting too much stress on muscles in your groin and thigh. If these muscles are tensed too forcefully or too suddenly, they can get over-stretched or torn.

▪️These sports require a strong eccentric contraction of the adductor musculature during competition and practice.The underlying injury is most often a muscle or tendon strain at the insertion of the tendon of the adductor muscle to the bone. The adductor longus is most commonly injured.
🔸Here is a good eccentric exercise to use to prevent groin injuries or at the rehab stages gradually and carefullly
