Are you suffering with IBS? Prescribed medication, diet and exercise are all important but did you know that NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) also recommends hypnotherapy to change the way you respond to anxiety and stress and relieve symptoms?

According to research, 6 sessions over 12 weeks have been found to be most effective and it can have long lasting effects. It can improve your symptoms and quality of life.

However, its important to remember that hypnotherapy is not a magic wand nor is it a replacement for medical treatment. You should always see a doctor to rule out any other condition first and make sure that the hypnotherapist is qualified, registered with an professional organisation and ideally trained in gut-directed hypnotherapy.

Do you hide from your fears or try and avoid uncomfortable situation? It’s a perfectly natural response, but like a child covering their eyes and thinking you can’t see them, it doesn’t make the problem go away, does it? It just means we are less prepared. On the other hand, when we are calm our thinking is clearer and we are much more in control
of the situation.
