It's fecking lovely here today. Pic 1 is me getting sweaty on my ruck to work today.

Pic 2 is a rather delicious slice of toasted carnivore bread (fear not, only meat in there) topped with crab and a little melted cheddar 🤤

And finally my fasting time. It was much easier than last week, I think I got my head in the right place for this one.

Every time I do the work of getting my mindset in the right place for fasting, it's like night and day from when I fast last minute and wing it.

It's so important to set yourself up for fasting, especially in the beginning.

I've been thinking a lot about my Why for a carnivore diet. It's been almost 2 years and it's easy to forget some of the changes I experienced as they are normal now.

One of the biggest and weirdest changes is mosquito bites. I used to be the person doused in deet, burning citronella candles and going indoors as soon as it was dusk. I'd get bitten so bad that the welts looked like ni***es (lovely, right).

When I switched to a carnivore diet, this all changed. I remember the first time I noticed it. We were on a trip to Madeira (do yourself a favour and go there, it's heaven). I was sitting outside watching the sunset over the ocean, then enjoying a slow dinner, then listening to music and talking into the night. I suddenly realised it was pitch black and I was outside! My heart raced and I panicked.

Then I noticed that there were mosquitoes buzzing around, but they weren't interested in me at all. It was like I was invisible. I almost cried, really. It was just so alien to me to enjoy sitting outside on a warm night.

Since then I think I've been bitten 2 times in 2 years and I barely noticed. They were tiny bumps that went away the next day.

I don't know the science behind it but I do know that cutting out all plants means I get to live a more free and fun life!

I can't wait for summer this year because I know I can enjoy it without fear of bites and missing out on the fun 😊

Accountability:

Rucking with 9kg x 5 miles
Fasting x 16 hours
Sleep x 7.2 hours
Food: cheeseburgers 😋

This cold is trying it's best to derail me, but the combo of eating fatty meat then fasting means it doesn't stand a chance 💪🏻

I think giving up plants, eating plenty of fatty red meat and getting good sleep is setting me up for excellent mental and physical health.

I want to support people that are fed up of feeling sh*tty, tired and run down, despite doing all the "right things". I decided to question the rhetoric of government/food industry food pyramids, nutritional guidelines and I have never felt better.

Whether you're carnivore-curious, or ready to jump in, there's a whole world of energy and health just waiting for you ❤️

Happy Wednesday and enjoy your meat! 🍖🥩🐑🐔

Accountability! This is keeping me honest 😜

Rucking with 9kg for 5 miles : done
Fasted for 16 hours : done
Steak and eggs for main meal : done

I was feeling under the weather yesterday and today, but this way of eating and fasting means I recover much faster than I used to. I don't feel like I need to hide under the duvet or rest, I can keep going and live life.

If you're feeling run down or like you aren't fuelling yourself for your needs, you could do a lot worse than eating steak n eggs!

Happy Tuesday!

Your eyes do not deceive you, this is ice-cream in a sandwich. Good lord it's 😋

The bread would also be great as a soft taco stuffed with meat and maybe a little cheese.

I made a batch of 10 little breads (only 4 eggs used) thinking they would do as lunch in the week. Wrong. We finished them all for lunch today. Oops. Bigger batches needed!

Murph was keen to try them, but the humans were too quick for her. Fear not, she got plenty of meat!

I see this photo and think it looks rude 😜

It's my with ice cream! It's very similar to soft choux pastry and this tasted incredible 🤤

The bread would also be great as a soft taco, to be stuffed with meats and maybe a little cheese. Sooo good

Murph was keen to do a taste test, but unfortunately it was gobbled by the humans (fear not, she got plenty of meat)

It was pretty lovely today and that called for a long walk with Murph.

I made for the first time and had a bun and patty for brunch. It was damn good! I felt set up for the day...but now I can't wait for the pork ribs to be ready for dinner.

If you wanna get in my good books, make me some pork ribs. A lot of pork ribs!

Another busy day here so Murph is taking some time for self-care (well, several hours and the entire sofa if truth be told).

She's a big believer in getting an early night and appreciates a soft cushion to rest her weary head.

Sleep is something I struggle with and I'm finding the last few weeks particularly challenging. I know all the advice and make sure to keep the room cool &dark, no devices, no caffeine after 11am yada yada yada

Sleep is perhaps the most powerful weapon we have to age well, and I plan on doing everything in my power to master it!

Tonight I plan to get in bed and read a little earlier and see if that helps me unwind.

What's your top.tip for a good night's sleep?

Rucking! This is my new experiment and so far it's going well. For those new to the term, rucking is basically walking with weight on your back. Its roots are in the military and it's great for working the whole body and, like weightlifting, it can help improve strength, endurance and general fitness.

I figured that I have to walk daily to work and with the dog, so it should be easy to stack on a habit of carrying weights in my backpack at the same time.

I've got 7.5kg in this picture and I'll build up duration then weight over time.

I think it's so important for women to lift weights, and rucking had a very low bar to entry.

Equipment needed: sturdy rucksack; weights (plates, dumbbell, sandbag, bottles of water etc); good posture

I'll report on progress and hopefully I'll have some cool results to share 😊

Wow Sonoma, you sure know how to treat a lady! Just under a week in this part of the world and I'm sold 🥰

Beautiful wine, stunning scenery and incredibly friendly people (one lady offered to pay for our groceries when our card didn't work. We got it sorted though).

This is not the last time I'll be spending time here, it's good for the soul.

Highlights include basically all of , Starks restaurant in and the always wonderful

New Year's in San Diego was wonderful (even if I was asleep by 11pm he he). My first time staying in La Jolla was magical and I will definitely return. The coast is just stunning and we were lucky to catch a beautiful final sunset of 2023 on

Onwards now to Sonoma. Be still my beating ❤️💓

Beautiful hike up and I can't recommend it enough. We had to wait a while for it to reopen as it was super busy but holy crap was it worth it

We head to San Diego tomorrow and will be sad to say goodbye to the desert. Until next time, cheers!
