Do you know what your male colleagues are most likely to die of?

Statistically in the UK, it’s su***de. Don’t feel comfortable reading about this? That’s tough, because most men don’t feel comfortable talking about it, either. They’re much less likely than women to seek help, and tend to turn inward, developing unhealthy addictions to perhaps TV, maybe exercise, and often alcohol or drugs.

Which is hugely destructive for them and their families, and equally bad news for you, their employers.

Why? Because mental ill health leads to 72 million lost working days each year – costing UK businesses a crippling £34.9 billion.

Every employee whose mental health needs go unsupported costs businesses £1,300 a year. And the worst thing is, your business itself could be unwittingly responsible – because 1 in 3 men (32%) put their poor mental health down to their job. Which is of course, shocking. But it also contains a silver lining. Because it means the seeds of a solution are in your hands.

So the time to act on it is now, before another man – possibly one of your own colleagues – slides out of reach.

International Fathers’ Mental Health Day!!!🙂🙂

So why do I stress the importance of supporting fathers too?

The rate of su***de among men aged 30 to 44 years increases around of time of becoming a father.

Fathers tend to suffer in silence and often use negative coping methods such as alcohol and drugs which can lead to anger and violence.

Fathers are the main source of support for the mother and children at this time and often feel the pressure of failing to live up to expectations.

If only the father experiences mental illness, this puts a strain on the mother’s mental health and can lead to both partners becoming unwell and it affect their children.

It can take years for negative experiences to manifest so by offering support to fathers too at this stressful time and adopting a preventative approach, more families will enjoy the miracle of childbirth and go on to live happier.

Hello Dear,
Kindly take a look at the following verses from 2nd Samuel 13 and please pay attention to the words in capital letters:

Vs 12 – "She answered him, “ *NO* , my brother, *DO NOT FORCE ME* ; for such a thing is not done in Israel; *DO NOT DO THIS WANTON FOLLY* ".

Vs 14 – *"BUT HE WOULD NOT LISTEN TO HER; AND BEING STRONGER THAN SHE, HE FORCED HER* , and lay with her".

‘Tough’ is the word to best describe the last few days. Reading comments of people who are supposedly enlightened enabling R**e is sickening and I sincerely hope they get the re-orientation that is needed...

After reading the true story of a very successful Film Guru and the sad incident that happened last weekend concerning Caroline Flack.

I now want to say that talking about mental health and supporting my neighbour and being my "brother's keeper" are vital in our community.

Don't keep quiet! speak out! and we must continue to curb the stigma attached to mental health within our community>>>

Warning: This is not one of those celebrity profiles that uses a teaspoon of new information to flavor a barrel of ancient history. There is no paragraph where the star and the writer pretend to be pals — gag — while doing an everyday-person activity. What was everyone eating? Who cares. No, you will not get served the obligatory canned quote from Matt Damon. This is Ben Affleck, raw and vulnerable, talking extensively for the first time about getting sober (again) and trying to recalibrate his career (again). Affleck, Oscar-winning writer, director of the Oscar-winning “Argo,” better actor than you remember — and, yes, alcoholic, divorcé and proud possessor of a mythical back tattoo — has four movies coming out this year. Dad Bod Batman has been banished, and actual films are back on his docket, including his first all-on-him movie in four years: “The Way Back,” a poignant sports drama that arrives in theaters on March 6. Affleck plays a reluctant high school basketball coach with big problems — he’s a puffy, willful, fall-down drunk who blows up his marriage and lands in rehab......
