I moved country 3 times to date, traveled to more than 30. Best decision of my life.
Remember when you decide to do something out of the norm, people will project their fears onto you.
Do not listen to those who aren’t moving like you do.
Traveling and moving country is stressful even for non diabetic.
It is ok to feel scared but it isn’t ok to let it keep you stuck.
You are capable. For me travel changed my life and the way I relate to T1D completely.
From overmanaging to allowing myself to figure it out.
From self blame to self empowerment.
From shame and hidding it to rocking my device proudly everywhere I go.
Traveling isn’t just about vacation. It is about stepping into the unknown, detaching from conditioning and what your endo told you and finally giving space for your real self to come to the surface.
In 2026 I am taking the DTN group adventures to the next level. Think bucket list destinations and experiences, premium accomodation and all in place so you can fully relax and exhale while making life long friendships with fearless diabetic who like you love to travel.
