Mother’s Day isn’t joyful for everyone.

As a grief educator, I see how this day can stir emotions that are often hidden — especially in a culture that only celebrates one version of motherhood.

Grief can sit quietly beneath the surface or it can rise up unexpectedly.

This year, I’m offering a gentle online space to breathe, move, and honour whatever Mother’s Day brings for you.

Whether you are grieving a mother, a child, a relationship, your fertility, or simply a version of yourself — you are welcome.

Ramadan Mubarak 🌙.

To those carrying grief this month — may Allah hold you gently.

May your tears be honoured, your memories be a source of light, and your heart find moments of ease between the waves.

If this Ramadan feels heavier than before, please know that nothing is wrong with you. Grief does not pause for sacred months — it simply asks to be witnessed.

As a grief educator, I want you to know:

✨Your tears do not weaken your faith.
✨Your exhaustion is not a spiritual failure.
✨Your longing is love continuing.

If you need a space to breathe, to move, to sit with your sorrow — I am here. 🤍

You do not have to carry it alone this Ramadan. 🌙

Valentine’s Day can be a beautiful celebration of love — but for many, it can also quietly highlight the absence of someone deeply missed.

If you are grieving a partner, a family member, a friendship, or the relationship you once hoped for, please know that you are not alone. Love does not end when someone is no longer physically here. It changes shape, but it remains part of your story.

This week on February 11th, at Grief Café, we will gently hold space for conversations around relationships and relationship loss — the love that was, the love that is missed, and the complicated feelings days like Valentine’s can bring.

You are warmly invited to join us exactly as you are. No need to have the right words. Your presence is enough.

🤍 A space to share
🤍 A space to listen
🤍 A space to be held in community

✨ Our first Women’s Wellbeing Gathering ✨

30 amazing women came together.
To breathe.
To share.
To be heard.

For over 2 years, Breathe.Move.Heal CIC has supported over 100 women across Tower Hamlets through our wellbeing sessions—and now, with this first community consultation & co-production space, women’s voices are helping shape our future.

Women from diverse cultures gathered in a space that was welcoming, safe, and supportive, where everyone could feel comfortable sharing their experiences.

As Sylviya shared in her testimonial:
“This event made me feel that I belong to this community—not just this group, but my neighbourhood in general, although I moved here not long ago in this part of London. I love the inclusiveness and diversity. In these divisive times, it’s something we should share. Love thy neighbour!”

Priority themes chosen by women in Working groups:
• Anxiety & stress
• Menopause
• Mindful movement & yoga

Feedback forms showed women felt connected, inspired, and a true sense of belonging.

Thank you to all the lovely women who joined—you are superstars! ✨

A special thank you to St. Paul’s Way Community Centre for providing the venue and to Arisya for the beautiful candles and art therapy by Sylviya making the space so welcoming 💛

We’ll be gathering every 3–4 months, with our next event in May for Mental Health Awareness Week.

Because wellbeing works best when it’s created with the community, not just for it. 💛

Every month, I host online meetings at Hamroz Club in Tajikistan for moms, where we share the joys and challenges of motherhood, support each other, and find inspiration 🌸. It’s a space where you can be yourself, be heard, and feel that you are not alone 💛.

As a mom of a special child and through the work of my charitable foundation, I know how important it is to create a community where every mom and her child feel valued and loved 🌟. These meetings give strength, confidence, and little joys that stay with us for a long time ✨.

Thymus tapping techniques for calming anxiety

The modern pace of life often leads to anxiety, panic, and difficulty breathing. These states interfere with concentration, reduce quality of life, and can cause physical tension. Tapping at the level of the thymus is an effective method that helps manage anxiety and bring the body back into a state of calm.

The thymus is located slightly above the heart chakra, beneath the rib cage. Tapping this area for 3–5 minutes improves blood circulation, oxygenates the body, and supports oxygen flow to the brain. This helps the body relax, stabilizes breathing, and reduces the physical symptoms of stress.

During tapping, it’s important to say affirmations:
“I am calm.”
“I am safe.”

These words signal to the brain that there is no threat, allowing you to return to a state of balance more quickly. Regular practice of these techniques can become a powerful tool in working with anxiety.

For your highest good 🙏🏻

In 2016, I looked happy… but I was grieving in silence.

I look so young and beautiful here.
My son so small, so beautiful 🤍

I was holding onto anything that reminded me of her.
Even the name of my new business which was growing — Salomat Ikat — was named after my beloved Mother.

I learned photography.
I modelled for my own brand.
I kept creating, travelling, building…
doing my best to keep going.

The one thing in these photos that was completely real was my love for my son, Safroz.
I accepted him fully, exactly as he is.
But I needed my mum too.

I often wondered, how could she leave me?
Now I understand I was moving through very old wounds —
layers of grief and a deep sense of abandonment trauma…from the past…

As I kept walking forward, some people couldn’t walk that path with me — and that’s okay.

Looking at these photos now, I just want to give that version of me a hug.
To tell her to slow down.
To feel.
To breathe.

To remind her:
you are not alone,
and you are stronger than you think 🤍

Today, looking from a more healed place — and doing the work I now do supporting others in grief — I feel deeply honoured, fulfilled, and happy.

If someone had told me 10 years ago that grief support would be my work…
I would have laughed.
Probably hysterically.

The photos are beautiful.
But they don’t tell the whole story.

You never really know what someone is carrying inside.
So please — always be kind 🤍

Each session supports nervous system balance, reduces stress, and helps release stored tension, promoting clarity, rest, and a sense of ease in both body and mind. Bring a blanket, comfortable clothing, and water to enhance your comfort.
