HELLO HERD 🦬 We are absolutely thrilled to tell you that we are BACK with a special one-off Shakespeare Session & Social! The event will take place from 6pm on Thursday 28th November 2024 and we’re delighted to be hosting it at the . Please join us for food, drinks & fun all centred around one of our classic play reading workshops - and this time it’s MACBETH 🗡️

Actor tickets are £15 and include free pizza 🍕 and footage of clips of your performance afterwards 📽️ (These tickets are limited so that each actor gets a decent amount of text to work with.)

HELLO HERD! 🦬 Long time no speak… Happy new year! We would like to sincerely apologise for the radio silence & lack of activity over the last few months - it’s been a busy time for the team, BUT we are thrilled to be getting back into action by teaming up with to bring you an awesome screening event for the UK premiere of One, Another! 🎥

We are DELIGHTED to announce that we will be hosting the next edition of Word Immunity next weekend at ! 🤩🎙️💕

If you’re coming, please join us in the in the Mind Body Soul area on the Friday from 5.30pm-7pm for some food, drink & poetry. With lyrical stylings from , , & we will blow your mind with an absolute rhyme-riot.

AND, if you fancy giving it a go yourself, join for a Therapeutic Creative Writing Session earlier that afternoon at 2pm in the Craft tent 😍 Then if you like what you come up with, share it at Word Immunity when we open the mic!

School’s Out For Summer 😎

Hello you lot 👋🏻 We just wanted to let you know that (as you may have guessed!) we have decided to take a break from Shakespeare Sessions for the summer months 🌞
•
You'll all be (hopefully) way too busy rehearsing & performing in Shakespeare tours, outdoor theatre & Edinburgh shows, and so will we! And in between theatrical ventures, you'll need time to sit and sip rosé in the sun, or go hiking or mow the lawn or whatever it is you do when the weather is better. So we hope you agree this makes sense, and that you won't miss us too much!! 💕
•
Our plan is to pick these back up again in early October, once everyone has recovered from the summer onslaught of holidays, weddings, festivals and fringe shows and is craving some structure to their Shakespeare consumption again 🎭
•
We are so keen to support you all and stay in touch this summer so please do let us know when & where you're performing and we'll try to be there and help spread the word for you too 🙌🏼
•
Even during a rest period, we always have one or two Bison projects in the works, so rest assured, you'll see more from Bison sooner or later and there will continue to be opportunities for you to get involved 🤗
•

How has it already been more than two weeks since Word Immunity?! We are so delayed in posting this but want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who made it such an incredibly special, truly magical evening! ✨ First of all to Dorothy and for having us - what a beautifully intimate and gorgeous space for it 💙 To our unbelievably talented roster of poets: .c .ishani.rao & - you all completely blew us away ❤️‍🔥 To for the sweet sweet melodies you played us out with at the end 🎶 To & for jumping in last min to help capture it 📸 And of course, to everyone who braved the rain and came! 🩷☔️🌈 Can’t tell you how delighted we are that a poetry night on a barge was a jam packed, sell out! 💛 Such gorgeous words, such a beautiful setting, such warm vibes 🥰 We hope to do it again sometime so if you loved it and would be keen to come back, or missed out this time and desperately want in - watch this space! 👀

BONUS ACT! We’re super pleased to announce that after the poetry on Friday night, we’re gonna have some beautiful live music from 🎶 An excellent reason to stick around for a bit afterwards for more drinks and some mingling with your poet pals aboard - doors open at 7pm we’re open until 11.30pm.

Paper Anthem are an English rock band founded by American Joseph Hitchcock. A consistent theme of heartbreak is woven into their music through subplots of cheating, immigration, and body dysmorphia in what they call “the Paper Anthem shared universe". They’ve released three albums already and are preparing for a slew of new singles in 2023 and will be playing a gorgeous stripped-back acoustic set after the poetry this Friday.
