POSITIVELY UK WRAPPED... PART 4 of 5. As the year and the festive season near their end, we're focusing on our work in the regions. Positively UK provides peer support across five counties up and down the country, from Derbyshire to Essex - and next year, we will be adding a sixth, Norfolk.

But today we're celebrating our work in Brook clinics in Buckinghamshire - where we have seen 44 people, including people who were newly diagnosed with HIV. Having a trained peer supporter living with HIV themselves to provide reassurance and expertise has proven crucial to a person-centred approach at Buckinghamshire's sexual health services.

Wishing a meaningful Kwanzaa to all who observe. May the season bring unity, purpose, and uplift our shared communities.

POSITIVELY UK WRAPPED... 3 of 5. Today we're spotlighting our community of more 300 participants in our Women's Group, Straight Talk - our group for heterosexuals, and Gay Men's Group. We can't wait to see them joined by participants in our new group Thriving 50+, which will be launching in 2026. These support groups create an irreplaceable space for people to be amongst people who share their experiences and know how it feels to be a woman with HIV, straight with HIV, an LGBTQ+ man with HIV.

Did you know that 1 in 40 young people in the UK are pansexual? That means that if you got on a local bus full of young people, two people on that bus would be pansexual. Despite this, their specific experiences with HIV remain under-researched.* We know that pansexual people still face prejudice and outdated attitudes. Positively UK stands in solidarity with the pansexual community and invites everyone to celebrate the pansexual people in their lives this pride day!

This World AIDS Day, we're joining hands with charities up and down the land to ask you to take one simple step: Complete the STOPAIDS e-action to urge the Government to lead the world in ending AIDS: https://lght.ly/kem72n5

For the first time in over 40 years, we now have new game-changing medicines at our fingertips that are often described as 'the closest thing to an HIV vaccine'. Breakthrough tools like lenacapavir give us a real, tangible chance to end AIDS within the next five years, if governments act.

The e-action is a chance to tell your MP how much this matters. With a critical year ahead for HIV, including the HIV High-Level Meeting, the IAS Conference, and other major global moments, now is the time to act.

Together, WE CAN CHOOSE TO END AIDS.
