THE ADOLESCENT CORNER - OUR STORY
The Adolescent Corner, an initiative of the Ghana Health Service that aims to provide adolescents with health services and education in a safe and confidential environment. These services include sexual and reproductive health education, family planning, treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STIs), menstrual problems, and general health care tailored for young people aged 10 to 24. While the term "corner" is used to designate physical spaces, it is evolving to encompass broader "service delivery points" which can be dedicated areas or integrated services within a facility, as well as outreach services.
The facility has dedicated its conference hall, library, and a unit for private counselling sessions with adolescents, the identification of adolescent health problems, rendering family planning services to consented adolescents, and the systematic reporting of cases that affect adolescent health.

BONO REGIONAL DIRECTOR OF HEALTH SERVICES PAYS FIRST VISIT TO TAIN DISTRICT HOSPITAL.

On Tuesday, 4th November, 2025, the Regional Director of Health Services for the Bono Region, Dr.(Med) Osei Kuffour Afreh paid his first official visit to the Tain District Hospital since assuming office. This was part of similar visits to district health directorates and hospitals within the region to acquaint himself and meet staff.
He was accompanied by new senior managers who have assumed duty at the Regional Health Directorate.
