FESTIVAL OF NINE LESSONS AND CAROLS 2025

Friday, 19th December, 2025, saw the final general gathering of staff and the general public to celebrate a night of solemn music, praise, and thanksgiving. Under the theme "Wise men, seek the Lord" (Matt. 2:1-2), the night featured a deep reflection on the year, led by Rev. Dickson Yaro, Senior Pastor of Elim City Chapel, President of the Local Council of Churches, and a member of the Hospital Advisory Board.

On Tuesday, 30th December 2025, a surprise visit was made by the Member of Parliament for the Tain Constituency and member of the Communications Committee of Parliament, Hon Ramzy Adams. This was neither for inspection nor supervision, but to express enormous appreciation to the staff for their hard work and commitment to duty throughout the year.
The visit also offered the legislator the opportunity to observe firsthand the various activities undertaken within the facility, the challenges encountered, and the initiatives that have been put in place.

MR. DAWUD YAHAYA ABDUL QAYYUM(MLS), ADJUDGED OVERALL BEST STAFF
Mr. Dawud Yahaya Abdul Qayyum, a Medical Laboratory Scientist and the Quality Assurance Manager for the Laboratory, has emerged as the Overall Best Staff for the year 2025. In a very rigorous process based on nominations, interviews, and visible evidence of work done, the QA team of the Hospital announced the outcome during the final staff durbar of 2025.
Mr. Enoch Adjei, a Physician Assistant, came in second, followed by Mr. Alhassan Danaa, Senior Nutrition Officer

From dansinkran to fugu, from agbada to patapataa, and various forms of intricate hand-woven kente were showcased at the final staff durbar of 2025.
As has become the tradition, the staff of the facility climaxed an amazing 2025 with a final staff durbar to evaluate the year and usher in the yuletide.

Tain District Hospital would like to express our warmest congratulations to Prof. Dr(Med). Nana Adu Appiah-kubi on the conferment of Associate Professor, Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
Prof. Appiah-Kubi has, over the last two years, organised, sponsored, and brought in gynaecologists who have performed free, life-changing surgeries for the people of Tain and its environs through his Appiah-Kubi Foundation.
Through his efforts, women who have endured years of obstetric fistula have received free fistula repair surgeries in Nsawkaw. Many uterine fibroids, uterine prolapse, and other gynaecological conditions also had the surgeries done for free.
Thank you, Prof., may God guide you in your new role.
