Most people who have had Covid-19 are protected from catching it again for at least five months, a study led by Public Health England shows.
Past infection was linked to an 83% lower risk of getting the virus, compared with those who had never had Covid-19, scientists found.
But experts warn some people do catch Covid-19 again - and can infect others.
And officials stress people should follow the stay-at-home rules - whether or not they have had the virus.

But researchers warn there is still a risk of catching and passing the virus on to others again.

🙆A mask is NOT a substitute for social distancing. Masks should still be worn in addition to staying at least 6 feet apart, especially when indoors around people who don’t live in your household.🧐

Facemasks help limit the spread of germs, virus and dust. 👷👷‍♀
When someone talks, coughs, or sneezes they may release tiny drops into the air that can infect others.🤧 If someone is ill a face masks can reduce the number of germs that the wearer releases and can protect other people from becoming sick. 😷
👍A face mask also protects the wearer’s nose and mouth from splashes or sprays of body fluids.

😷A disposable mask is only designed to be used once, not multiple times , don’t be tempted to reuse it. You should use this kind of mask once before throwing it away, and should also dispose of it if it becomes at all damp, according to the WHO.
🔸Clean your hands with soap and water or hand sanitizer before touching the mask.
🔸Remove a mask from the box and make sure there are no obvious tears or holes in either side of the mask.
🔸Determine which side of the mask is the front. The colored side of the mask is usually the front and should face away from you, while the white side touches your face.
🔸Bring the mask to your nose level and pull the top strap over your head so that it rests over the crown of your head.
🔸Mold or pinch the stiff edge to the shape of your nose.
🔸Pull the bottom of the mask over your mouth and chin.
