Horse Chestnut
The autumn is a dreaded season bringing less sun, more darkness, rain and colder days. But let’s celebrate the beautiful things that autumn brings too. It is a harvest time in many different ways.
Not too many people know that we can work with chestnuts the way we work with crystals. They collect and radiate energy. Horse chestnut is a powerful magical tree, its nuts are soft to touch, charged with the power of spring and summer. They are blessed with medicinal and energetic properties. We can use some of its magic by simply collecting them.
According to folk traditions chestnuts are able to absorb negative energy, cleanse geopathogenic zones, harmful radiation and possess many other healing properties. They can also help to repel nightmares.
Collect them in sunny parks. You should avoid collecting them in places with heavy energy such as cemeteries, they had already absorbed the heavy energy and they can bring you nightmares. Collect only as many as you need and say silent ‘thank you’ to the trees for its fruits.
You can carry them in the pockets, put them under the pillow or under the bed. My husband was in bit of shock when he found them under our bed for the first time. The old dry chestnuts are replaced every year and the old ones are put back to nature.
A nice chestnut with a coin together in the pocket is a good luck charm attracting prosperity. When you roll it in your palm and feel the silky texture it will help to release stress, tension and insecurity. I put some chestnuts inside our living area as an autumn decoration too. They look magnificent in a glass bowls or vases.
