Lip Filler 101: Before Your Appointment

Thinking about enhancing your lips in a natural, balanced way? Here’s how to prepare for a smooth appointment and the best possible outcome:

🔹 Avoid blood thinners
Try to avoid ibuprofen, aspirin or other anti-inflammatories for 48 hours beforehand (unless prescribed), as they can increase the chance of bruising.

🔹 Skip alcohol
Avoid alcohol for 24–48 hours before your appointment, as it may contribute to swelling or bruising.

🔹 Keep exercise light
High-intensity workouts increase circulation, which can lead to increased swelling. Keep things gentle the day before.

🔹 Stay hydrated
Hydrated skin always performs better. Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your appointment.

🔹 Prep your lips
Gently exfoliate a couple of days before and apply a nourishing lip balm regularly to keep your lips smooth and hydrated.

🔹 If you suffer from cold sores…
Please let me know in advance. Preventative medication may be required to avoid a flare-up.

As many of you know, we’ve recently moved into our beautiful new space at Manor Farm Barns in Framingham Pigot. With the clinic being so close to Norwich, we’ve now stopped offering separate Norwich clinic days — everything will be based from our new private headquarters.

This allows me to give you a more consistent experience, a calmer environment, easier parking, and a much more private setting for your treatments and consultations.
