okay, I may have be overreacting here..
That's not out of character for me- but I think when a mug is placed in a cupboard that says do not use the mug in the cupboard if they don't belong to you- you shouldn't use them.

plus I have brought in loads of mugs from home for everyone to use- and my TLC mug too, plus they didn't even wash it.

I'm going to find them...
