One of the *most* overlooked causes of cluttered or depressive thinking?
Gut disturbance.
I know how worrying it can be when suddenly your toilet habits change or you get that churning feeling in your gut whenever you get super nervous or feel attacked (like me).
Often the people I see have some degree of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
Anxiety and IBS commonly go hand in hand.
The place where you produce 95% of your happiness hormone is too important to not take seriously.
Serotonin is a swiss army hormone.
Signals like serotonin from your gut reach areas of your brain like the limbic system, the prefrontal cortex, the amygdala, the hippocampus - in other words, areas that are responsible for the way you see yourself, your emotions, memories, fear, and motivation.
Your gut influences the way you think and react. Have you ever made a 'gut decision'?
If anxiety and IBS are constantly cropping up for you and are a burden on your social life or stopping you from achieving the things you want for yourself, and you've just about had enough, I've been there and know the struggle.
I can help so feel free to get in touch.
If you know anyone who could use the reminder to care for their gut to care for their mind, please share this to spread the word.
