Most people guess their way through recovery.

They rest, stretch, try a few exercises…
Then go back to activity too soon.

And when the pain comes back, they start again.

That’s the cycle.

At Instant Physio, we don’t leave it to chance.
We follow a clear 5-step method:
1. Understand the problem
2. Settle the pain
3. Treat the root cause
4. Test your return to activity
5. Prevent it coming back

Each step has a purpose.
Skip one, and you increase the risk of setbacks or recurrence.

This is how we help people:
Not just feel better — but stay better.

If you’re dealing with something that keeps coming back,
there’s usually a reason.

And there’s always a better way to approach it.

Most people mean well when they give injury advice.

A friend tells you their knee pain disappeared after buying new trainers.
Someone at the run club swears by a stretch they found on YouTube.
Another person says physio is unnecessary because their pain “just went away”.

This is an example of the anecdotal fallacy.

It happens when we use one person’s story to draw a conclusion, even when the wider evidence suggests something different.

The problem is that pain often improves over time for many reasons. When that happens, it is easy to assume that whatever someone tried last was the solution.

But injuries are rarely that simple.

Relying on anecdotal advice can lead to:
• delayed access to treatment
• longer periods away from activity
• frustration when the same approach does not work for you

Stories are powerful, but they are not the same as evidenced based care.

If you are dealing with an injury, the goal is not to copy what worked for someone else. It is to understand what is happening in your body and follow a plan that is appropriate for you.

That is where proper assessment and evidence-based rehabilitation come in.
