Zach always had thin hair, but it started getting noticeably sparse in his early 20s.

He didn’t try to fight it with drugs or products, as he knew that would become a consuming routine.

Nevertheless, it played on his mind - until earlier this year, when he decided enough was enough.

‘I was just done thinking about it. I smiled as soon as I started cutting it off, and I feel so much better.

‘If hair loss is consuming you - get rid’ 👏

Luke has been thinning as long as he can remember - even in high school.

‘I had a horrible mop of hair to hide the sins. It was a confidence hitter.’

In his 20s, he discovered hair fibres, which helped for a bit. But it was ‘a false sense of security’ - and they made ‘a right mess’.

And so, when Luke turned 30, he decided to brave the shave.

‘My advice for people thinning - don’t let it consume you. If it does, get rid.

'It might sound drastic, but you’ll thank yourself for it.’

‘Now my hair is gone I feel free, liberated and actually comfortable in my own skin’ 🙌

Five years ago, Karen was diagnosed with Lichen Planopilaris - a rare form of alopecia which caused her to lose hair from her head, arms and legs.

She tried all kinds of lotions and potions to help fight it, before using a hair mesh integration.

‘My confidence was completely gone and I would dread social situations. Even Teams calls at work, because my hair loss was so obvious.’

But Karen grew tired of hiding her alopecia and all the admin that came with the hair mesh. And so, a few weeks ago - with the help of her children - she decided to brave the shave.

‘This was not a sad moment. It was a happy acceptance.

‘Now my hair is gone I feel free, liberated and actually comfortable in my own skin. This is partly because I actually like the way I look with no hair, but mostly because I have the most amazing family and friends who champion me every day.’
