Joe was just 19 when he noticed he was thinning, and it knocked his confidence.

‘I had a go with some serums and dermarolling, but it was just pain for no gain.’

Aged 23, he decided it was time to take the plunge.

‘I did it with a razor and no mirror - lessons were learned! Initially I felt quite self-conscious, but I grew to love it.’

In a workplace with three Joes, a colleague christened him Bald Joe, and a new identity was born.

‘My advice to people thinning is to take the plunge and shave it, bald is far better than balding!’

Ben had super thick curly hair growing up - but around the age of 30, things started to change.

‘The temples really started to go and the slide began.’

This slide continued throughout Ben’s 30s, until he finally decided it was time to get it buzzed off.

‘Seeing your head on CCTV is a horror at first! But I embraced the bald and I think it suits me now.

‘I probably should have braved it a bit sooner, but no regrets.’

‘I couldn’t believe it. The feeling was surreal - I felt free.’ 👨‍🦲

Ellis first noticed his hair was thinning when he was 18, and over the years that followed, his long locks gradually morphed into a combover.

‘From 20 onwards it affected me daily. I was the subject of many hairline jokes that deep down bothered me.

‘I met someone travelling and the first thing they mentioned was my hairline, so I knew it was time to let go. At that time I was using fibre powders, which was a headache.’

Ellis came across BLD BRO, and aged 23, he summoned the courage to brave the shave.

‘As soon as I shaved it I felt what the guys had said on your video. I felt free. I couldn’t believe it - the feeling was surreal.

‘Honestly, I didn’t regret it once. I realised how much we get in our own heads about things other people really don’t care about. 100% the best decision I’ve made.’
