✔30 minutes to smash Q2
WTF... APRIL?! How did THAT happen?
Well, we don't know. But it did. Which means we're in Q2 of the business year.
Whatever you want to achieve this year, you've still got 9 months to do it. Let's focus on April, May, June.
Do you think in "Qs"? We used to do things in months or the whole year.
But, honestly, looking at the year as Q1, Q2, Q3, and Q4 is a great strategy.
✔It's less stressful and takes less time than doing it month by month
✔The bigger-picture view smooths out individual bumps of rough (or quiet) weeks
✔It allows for more flexibility which takes the pressure off
✔And it gives a more accurate picture of key metrics like leads, conversions, sales, income
⬇️We invite you to set aside 30 minutes to review Q1 and make a simple plan for Q2.
💥REVIEWING Q1
◾How many leads did you have?
◾Where did they come from?
◾How many calls/consults?
◾What % converted to sales?
◾How many clients did you lose/retain?
◾What was your income, expenditure, profit?
◾Did you achieve your goals? If not, why not - what needs to change?
◾Plus anything else you want to note about key projects, specific marketing output or new launches.
💥PLANNING Q2
◾Check your yearly goals and - according to how Q1 went - make a plan for Q2.
◾What do you want to achieve?
◾What metrics do you want to hit? (Clients, retention, income, profit)
◾Do you aim to roll out new services or launch anything?
◾Anything else big going on (work, business, personal, home, family etc)?
◾Break those goals down into smaller steps (if you want to earn £15K in Q2, that could be £5/month but if you are on holiday for half of June it might be wise to adjust accordingly).
◾Look at all the tools, software and paid-for services you used in Q1. Do you need them all for Q2? Cancel any you don't need.
◾Pinpoint any big one-off tasks (like "get a new accountant"). When will you do this? What do you need to do beforehand?
Now get a calendar - either your online calendar or a paper version.
Part 2️⃣ - the strategy - coming on Friday!
