Osteopathic Centre for Children Care is gentle, tailored to each individual, and delivered in a supportive space. www.justgiving.com/osteopathiccfc/donate

The Osteopathic Centre for Children offers a welcoming, open-plan clinic environment where babies, children, and expectant mothers are treated by experienced osteopaths. The Osteopathic Centre for Children (OCC) is a UK charity offering specialist paediatric osteopathy to babies, children, teenagers, pre and postnatal women on a "donate-what-you-can basis" since 1991. Paediatric osteopathy is a non-invasive and non-pharmaceutical treatment for children. At the OCC we offer diagnosis, treatment, and – where appropriate – referral to other health professionals such as your doctor or midwife. Our qualified osteopaths specialise in the treatment of children 0-18 years of age, pregnant and postnatal women. After the initial consultation, we help you schedule any follow-ups as needed, with the same osteopath. We treat patients holistically, and look at the whole body, not just the presenting condition. Did you know that 1 in 4 patients were unable to donate more than £10 towards the cost of their treatment?

At the OCC, we never turn away families who cannot contribute towards their treatment costs, but we urge families who can donate more to do so.

It costs our charity £90 for an initial consultation and £45 per follow-up appointment. Visit https://www.occ-fpo.org.uk/support-us/ to learn more about how you can support the OCC!

All new parents want to see their child thrive. When Raisa was brought in to us, her mother described her as having "issues with torticollis, left turn preference, muscle tension from c-sec and forceps. I also had breastfeeding issues including painful latch"

Here at the OCC, we treat families holistically. Both mother and baby were seen by our osteopaths and provided with treatment that would alter their lives for the better. "From the third appointment, no more pain from latch and can really see the improvement! Osteopathy is very beneficial, I just wish I had known about it earlier."

📣 Final Places available on our Emergency Paediatric First Aid course, 22 March 2026. Book Now!

This FAA Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid (RQF) is designed for osteopaths who wish to:
· Understand your role and responsibilities as a paediatric first aider in a healthcare setting.
· Safely assess emergency situations.
· Consider resuscitation and deliver CPR.
· Recovery position techniques for infants and children.
· Provide immediate first aid for choking, seizures, external bleeding, and shock.
· Respond effectively to minor injuries, bites, stings, nosebleeds, cuts, grazes, bruises, and splinters.

The Level 3 Certification from the awarding body First Aid Awards (FAA) is valid for three years and may be used as evidence of CPD.
• Basic life support training for children and babies
• Resuscitation Council (UK) compliant
• 3-year qualification

We believe everyone should have the skills to preserve life and strongly recommend that all Osteopaths who have trained or are currently with OCC/FPO should hold a valid Paediatric First Aid qualification. Correctly applied first aid techniques can, quite simply, save lives. They can also lessen pain and help reduce healing time. Places are limited, so book now to avoid disappointment.

Osteopathy for all children

Since 1991 the Osteopathic Centre for Children has offered the very best paediatric osteopathy to children, babies and perinatal women, regardless of a family’s ability to pay.

The OCC has become an internationally recognised centre of excellence, providing not only a free consultation and treatment clinic but also postgraduate specialist training and clinical research. We treat children holistically, and look at the whole child, not just the presenting condition.

We believe that paediatric osteopathy should not be a luxury treatment option only available to the wealthy, so unlike other osteopathy clinics we work on a donations basis – patients are treated for free at the point of need - with families making a donation to the charity instead.

Most of our patients are under 2 years old but we treat children and young people until they are 18, sometimes older if they have particularly complex needs. Pregnant women and new mums are another small but important part of our work. Our team takes the time to listen and treat the whole patient, often making onward referrals to other NHS services where other tests or treatments would be of benefit.
