Also called artificial silk, cellulose acetate is a natural, living material made up of 80% cotton flower. To create color swatches, the acetate plates are colored and welded together. They are then cut into spectacle faces to be milled, filed, polished and assembled by hand to the temples. The realization of an creation requires 60 successive artisanal and industrial operations.

Our iconic collection of bamboo is a clever match between the cotton flower face and the real bamboo temples. The part of the bamboo used to create this collection is the main stem, called thatch or cane. Because it is lignified and partitioned at the nodes, this thatch creates all the uniqueness of each frame. The cellulose acetate face is carved, polished and assembled by hand to then be associated with the bamboo wood branches.
