Optimal Spine

Optimal Spine Optimal Spine was founded in 2004 and Sport Dimensions was founded the same year. Our concept is simple, powerful and very effective!

Whether you’re seeking care due to pain or postural problems, or if you simply want to improve your overall health or athletic performance, Optimal Spine and Sport Dimensions is here for you. The two founders Mikael Porath Petersen and Mike Antoniades had the same goal: create a sustainable treatment model that puts the patient in the centre through state of the art treatment, education and exercises. In June 2016 Optimal Spine and Sport Dimensions became one company with three clinics across London. Each clinic offers Chiropractic, Physiotherapy, Deep tissue/ Sports massage alongside in-house active rehabilitation purpose built posture and rehab centres. Each clinic is equipped with digital x-rays and offers fourth nightly complimentary patient education events such as posture classes. Optimal Spine and Sport Dimensions offers an exstensive outreach program - every week we are involved in several school, company and NHS events where we do extensive talks on subjects such as posture, injury prevention and training. Every new patient will undergo an extensive initial consultation after which the findings will be discussed in detail and a treatment plan will be talked through. We do not believe in passive treatment, hence the vast majority of our patients are starting exercises within a few treatments subject to their abilities. We specialise in postural correction, back and neck pain, pins/ needles and sports injuries.

In this session, we’re performing side traction on the same patient who presents with posterior thoracic translation and loss of lumbar lordosis. This corrective technique targets spinal alignment from a different angle, helping to restore balance, mobility, and natural curvature.

Each traction method plays a unique role in improving posture and supporting long-term spinal stability.

Starting your day with a morning mobility sequence is one of the best ways to prepare your body for movement. It helps improve joint flexibility, increase circulation, and reduce stiffness from sleep — setting the tone for better posture and energy throughout the day.

A few minutes each morning can make a big difference in how you feel and move.

In this session, we’re applying front traction to a client with posterior translation of the thoracic spine and a loss of lumbar lordosis. This technique helps restore proper spinal alignment, improve posture, and reduce tension throughout the back.

Consistent corrective care can make a significant difference in spinal health and overall mobility.
