Who’s ready for this weekend?
We’ve got at the helm of the event & out on the competition floor.
Top tips for keeping the nutrition on point over the weekend:
- grab a coolbox & pack a prepared lunch, a slice of frittata with some chunks of melon 🍉 would be a great choice.
- HYDRATION 💦 it’s going to be a scorcher (27 degrees!) so be sure you have plenty of water to hand.
- Leave adequate time between eating and competing, an hour or so at least is ideal, if you have a smaller break and need some food, eat just a little and refuel properly afterwards.

Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.
After a busy day of coaching, with a broken fridge and a husband who’d abandoned making dinner while I was coaching to go to 🎻 I had to make swift late night dinner plans 🤔
A bag of stir fry veggies, a pack of 2 steamed salmon fillets and and a few slices of avocado 🥑 did the trick. It took all of 10 minutes to prepare.
It doesn’t always have to be complicated or look Instagram ready.
I’d say I comprised on two things; 1 - price as prepared fish 🐟 & veg are more expensive & 2 - buying veg in plastic packaging 💀
But...just do what you can, with what you have, where you are.

High FIVE.
Rightly or wrongly, we (as in people) tend to be our own harshest 🤓 critics.
As coaches, we see this in weekly check ins, when clients zero in on the one thing they struggled with that week, and ignore everything they did really well.
While identifying 🤔 obstacles and tackling them is a big part of our coaching process, celebrating small victories along the way is equally important.
After all, when trust in & enjoyment of the process is crucial for success🏆 - keeping things positive and real is a 🧠 no brainer.
So, go on high five someone today who is doing great! 🤚

Spring has SPRUNG 😎 and ‘tis the season to be OUTSIDE!
Did we mention is now a affiliate owner?!
is the first CrossFit gym in Barnes and it’s extra special because it’s located on the edge of a 4G rugby pitch which means sled drags, running & tyre flips to your hearts 💕 content. AND you can train outside in the gorgeous ☀️ sunshine.

Croissants are delicious.
When you go on holiday to France 🇫🇷 you should definitely enjoy a few.
But the carbs, the sugar...
One of our biggest challenges is providing clients with structure and guidelines while empowering them to make and own their decisions.
It’s easy to say ⛔️ ‘don’t eat sugar’ (and sometimes we do)...but there’s a difference between enjoying a tasty pastry 🥐 on the odd occasion and eating them every morning for breakfast.
If you feel like restricting food is a source of constant stress 😫 , it may be time to reflect 💭 on your mindset towards food.
Working to eliminate ‘good’ & ‘bad’ food thinking can be tricky but it’s SO worth it.

HWPO. Hard work pays off.
We talk a lot about creating habits, behaviours and routines that will eventually become second nature and serve us in the long term.
But that doesn’t mean that it’s EASY. Change is HARD, and no matter what approach you take for your nutrition, whether it be habit based, tracking, ketogenic, intermittent fasting, intuitive eating, etc…you still have to put the work in to get the results.
Daily decision making, planing, preparation and overcoming obstacles are all part and parcel of being a nutrition coaching client.
What we’re here to do is to set up a structure of accountability and course of action that’s right for you to lead you towards your goals and help get you there.
We tweak, adjust, motivate and inspire you along the way to get the most out of your nutrition journey with us.
