Penguin Cold Caps

Penguin Cold Caps Penguin Cold Cap Therapy works to reduces Chemotherapy-induced alopecia.

This innovative Penguin Cold Caps reduces chemotherapy induced alopecia (hair loss) by cooling the hair capillaries and reducing the metabolic rate of the hair follicles to a hibernated state, preventing the absorption of chemotherapeutic drugs into the hair bulbs of the scalp. We also have a closed Chemotherapy Support group, which you are more than welcome to join. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1780243225573663/ This will contain tips and support from us and from you, to one another.

“I felt a lump in the middle of January, had a biopsy on Valentine’s Day, and was diagnosed with Stage 1, triple positive Invasive Ductal Carcinoma on February 18. A port was installed in my chest two days after I turned 40; chemotherapy began flowing through it five days later. By July, I’d finished six rounds before my lumpectomy surgery in August. Yesterday (finally, yesterday!) was my 19th and final round of radiation. While maintenance and monitoring will always be a part of my life, I can now comfortably talk about my cancer without the raw fear that it will “scare people off.”

“Thanks to I’ve been able to keep the majority of my hair! So far I am on round 4/6 for TCHP regime for triple positive IDC. I will say it is a process during chemo, but once you get the hang of it, time during the infusion just flies by!”

“When I first heard the word cancer, my mind went straight to the worst-case scenario. My second fear was losing my hair.” 💕

At just 32, flight attendant Tanner was diagnosed with Stage 1B invasive ductal carcinoma (ER+, PR+, HER2+). With six rounds of TCHP chemotherapy ahead, she chose to use Penguin Cold Caps to help protect her hair — and it made all the difference.

✨ Diagnosis: Stage 1B invasive ductal carcinoma

“Thanks to Penguin, I was able to feel like myself during treatment. Saving my hair completely changed my chemo journey.” 🐧💗

Annie’s Story 💖

At 44, photographer and mum of three teenage girls, Annie faced hormone-positive, HER2-negative invasive ductal carcinoma. Determined to stay healthy and preserve normalcy for her daughters, she decided to try Penguin Cold Caps during her chemotherapy.

Annie kept around 80% of her hair, no wig needed. “I’m so grateful to have kept so much hair! My regrowth is coming in fast, but seeing how short it is, I’m thrilled not to start from scratch,” she says.

Annie followed Penguin’s guidance closely, using heated blankets, a handheld shower head, and careful haircare to minimize shedding. Her perseverance paid off, helping her look like herself, maintain confidence, and keep her family’s routine as normal as possible.

Her advice to others considering cold capping:
✨ Bring a warm blanket
✨ Follow haircare instructions
✨ Enlist a dedicated helper for cap changes
