End of an era! Nadia has run since The Line launched - and opened its gates 7 days a week - 10 years ago. She’s kept The Line’s visitors and team fuelled by her delicious homemade tagine, toasted paninis and legendary flapjacks.

Thank you Nadia 🙏 We will miss your smiles, kindness and enthusiasm for The Line but we look forward to hearing about your new catering ventures.

Nadia is pictured here with our book, The Line: Public Art in East London. She features in Andrew Jones’s essay celebrating the people on The Line.

'Hear & Their' is the latest community-made artwork featured alongside Helen Cammock's 'OnWindtides' (2024) , created by local community groups through workshopped conversations with the artist, and each piece allows new interpretations from the bridge to emerge.

Helen Cammock's () large-scale text installation sits on a cable bridge over the River Lea, nearby Cody Dock. The commission explores movement, migration and change, and was developed in relation to the local area, its heritage, and its diverse communities. A changing display of community-made works sits nearby, creating a dialogue with the words on the bridge.

📍 Visit 'On WindTides' on the River Lea, just North of Cody Dock (), to see the installation and current display.

On WindTides is one of three co-commissions developed by The Line in collaboration with local residents. Supported by Newham Council () and with thanks to UK Power Networks.

The artwork reads: 'Hear & their is more understandable when you've touched both'
