📸 10 Chatting sustainable wellbeing at work and stretch mindset for The Job podcast with Police Burnout Coach (🔗 in bio)

📸 11 Recording my new digital Stretch Mindset Method workshop (pre-order 🔗 in bio)

Loving all the different spaces and places mindset and wellbeing takes me too.

Oh, and survived an Ofsted inspection (as a school governor) too. That’s the only one I’m happy is done 😬😳

To chat about anything you see here, to ask about my Catalyst programme, invite me to chat on your podcast or find out more about my Stretch Mindset Method, don’t be shy! Come find me in the DMs

I’m listening to Michael Rosen’s episode with on the Realistic Self Care Summit and it’s delightful.

Really delightful.

From Houmous to Cheryl Crow, he has such a way of weaving in ideas and feelings through the unexpected but every day.

And it all makes perfect sense.

Have a listen - their conversation about enjoying the small moments and finding ways to see the good in our days, will have you smiling and nodding in agreement.

And it might just change the way you go about your day. For the better.

This beautiful conversation is available to listen to, for free, as part of the summit for this week only.

You can register at the 🔗 in my bio and start listening straight away.

Full disclosure, I’m on there too talking about realistic self-care in a real school with Head teacher John Hayes, as part of my work on staff wellbeing as a school governor.

But go mainly to listen to Michael Rosen and Becca chat, it’s well worth the 20 mins!

Michael Rosen was on the same ICU ward as my dad at The Whittington hospital in London and they shared the same incredible consultant, Hugh Montgomery. So in my head, we’re already friends.

Got some gift cards for Christmas and had a very happy afternoon on Sunday browsing in their Hampstead store with my bibliophile daughter.

Great way to spend a rainy afternoon.

I came back with a stash of fiction and nonfiction to add to some other brilliant books I got for Christmas too.

Where to start…🤔

Moral Ambition
Addicted to Anxiety
Four Thousand Weeks
Ben Markovits The Rest of Our Lives
Pema Chödrön How We Live Is How We Die
Shy
London Walks

Some of these books I’ve been wanting to read for ages, some are new to me and bought on a whim (the joy of browsing in a real, actual bookshop).

Some happy hours ahead , cosied up on the sofa next to the Christmas tree that we can’t bring ourselves to take down yet…

I think we need more examples of quiet kindness popping up on our feeds, so I’m going to start sharing more of what I see.

Spotted this on ’s feed - who are also doing their own incredible daily acts of kindness ❤

Happy New Year 🥂🥂 Here’s to moving into 2026 with simplicity and ease. Giving space for growth in our lives that feels enjoyable, ambitions that stretch but feel gentle.

This is what the coming year is about for me and what I’ll be encouraging you to do too.

To create a year that feels expansive, not depleting. Rewarding, not relentless.

Looking forward to seeing what the year brings us all.

This book is on my Christmas wish list.

Because sometimes in this busy world of working for yourself, scaling and growing and keeping afloat, it’s easy to lose sight of why I do what I do.

Yes, I need to pay my bills and I want an income that will help my family.

But I didn’t go into this work in therapy and mindset with the main goal of making money.

I came into it to make a difference. The whole of my career, starting with being a mental health social worker in the NHS back in the late nineties/2000s, has all been about wanting to make a positive difference in the lives of others.

And that’s true of the people I support now in their careers. They’re doing extraordinary things - from protecting human rights across the globe, to shaping education provision for our SEND children, to creating beautiful works of fiction that bring the soul into people’s living rooms.

They’re as impact driven as I am - which is why we make such great partnerships.

If you could use your mindset to stretch into any ambition in your life, what would you want its impact to be?

7pm last night, on a call with my daughter’s primary school head, John.

We were being interviewed by for her upcoming wellbeing summit for educators and schools.

Him as the Head and how he leads in wellbeing for the staff, me as the link Governor for wellbeing at the school and a CBT therapist.

He always cringes when I say there’s really good practice at the school - and he’s right when he says there are always things we can improve on, especially when staff are under such pressure, like they are right now in education.

But what I think he does so well is foster a genuine culture of wellbeing throughout the school.

Making it more than a tick box exercise.

As John said at the end: “Caring about your staff and about yourself are fundamental to the success of your organisation”.

And I couldn’t agree more.

How does your organisation do when it comes to this?

Very much looking forward to Becca’s Summit.

It’s out in January, is free for any staff in education to attend and she’s made it deliberately accessible - online, short podcast style interviews from a range of different voices on wellbeing, available to listen to over the course of a week whenever you want.

Most of all, Becca’s not ignoring the crisis going on in education right now.

This is about building resilience and looking after yourself, in realistic ways that sit alongside the very real stress and pressure.

Thanks for including us in this, Becca. I’m looking forward to sharing it when it’s live.
