Last week, we wrapped up an unforgettable trip to Oslo, Norway, where we spent an intense week on field recordings for an upcoming VR documentary, Finding Frida with .

Spatial sound holds incredible, often untapped, emotional and narrative power in immersive storytelling. In Finding Frida, we’re not just using sound to support visuals, we’re designing the entire experience around it.

To achieve the level of authenticity we’re aiming for, we’ve gone deep into location-based recording, capturing ambiences, dialogue, and textures in the exact environments they belong to. From city streets to intimate interior spaces, every sound tells a part of the story.

Excited to share our latest work in collaboration with for Little Room, an immersive contemporary art installation by American artist Jordan Wolfson, produced by US.

The experience is now open to the public at the Fondation Beyeler in Switzerland. If you’re in or around Basel, it’s well worth a visit!

‘Little Room delves into the complex intersection of real, virtual, and imaginary realms. Wolfson’s work examines the darker aspects of the human experience while raising profound existential questions about consciousness, identity, and physical and intellectual negation. With Little Room, the artist pushes the potential of VR to create a unique encounter that goes beyond conventional understandings of the medium.’

Proud to share that Episode 1 of the Apple Adventure Series – Highlining, has just won a Gold Telly Award in the category of the best Use of 360 Audio! 🥇🎧

This immersive documentary follows professional highliner Faith Dickey as she takes on her most daring challenge yet - walking a line suspended above a 1km drop over Norway’s stunning fjords.

Congratulations to director Elliot Graves and the incredible team who brought this film to life. A special shout-out to the rest of the sound team and Professor Hyunkook Lee for their invaluable contributions to the audio experience.

This honour recognises the powerful storytelling and immersive experiences that bring Holocaust survivor testimonies to life. Congratulations to the , , and everyone whose dedication made this project possible!

Eighty years on from VE Day, we honour the courage and sacrifice of those who ended the war in Europe and reshaped our world. With the VE80 Immersive AR experience, you can step into history and uncover rare VE Day photographs, hear personal reflections of the war survivors in their own voices, and experience that moment of hope and relief through interactive storytelling.

Thank you, .productions (VFX, Creative, Archives, Development Teams) for having us and on board this project. We’ve worked hard on restoring sonic artefacts from the archives, and it’s been amazing hearing interviews, historical public speeches and music recordings with a new level of detail and fidelity. Thank you, Graham Hadfield, for the fantastic work on the original score. Based on the interviews, we’ve created short immersive stories that unfold in front of the user in binaural audio. Special shout out to , and Noise Makers for making such powerful tools for audio restoration, upmixing and spatial audio rendering.

Very excited to share the release of the latest episode of the Adventure series on Apple Vision Pro.

Ant Williams, the freediver from Australia, performs a heroic world record attempt to dive under the ice in extreme weather conditions in Iceland.

It was a huge joy to work alongside this world-class team, recording location sound and delivering the spatial mix for this special immersive experience.

We had the great privilege of working alongside .productions on sound design and music for this exciting project honouring role model engineer Alice Kan.

The statue has been designed by artist Kelly Anna, alongside a new digital artwork entitled and commissioned by the Royal Academy of Engineering.

The Augmented Reality experience activates the statue where users can explore interactive hotspots to learn about Alice’s journey as an engineer, including her crucial work manufacturing the COVID-19 vaccine.
