We were delighted to welcome families and loved ones of the people we support in our East Anglia region to a special Family Engagement Day recently - a fantastic opportunity to come together, build connections, and celebrate the strong partnerships that help people thrive.

During the day, families heard updates from our East Anglia leadership team and our in-house Specialist Support team on how we continue delivering high‑quality, person‑led care.

It was also wonderful to be joined by Tina, our East Anglia Liaise Influencer, who shared her experiences and insights on the day. Tina is part of our Liaise Influencers Network - a group of people we support who come together to share their ideas, perspectives, and lived experience to help guide our thinking and shape what we do.

Families had the chance to meet one another, speak with staff, see the meaningful activities taking place in their loved ones’ homes, and share valuable insights that help us shape the best possible support.

A huge thank you to every family member who joined us. Your continued support, partnership and trust mean so much!

What better way to celebrate the arrival of spring? Sarah, Andrew, Charles and Lisa chose to start the new season with a refreshing trip to their local park - and it couldn’t have been a better choice!

Keen to get outdoors, they set out to explore the fresh colours, new blossoms and signs of spring emerging around the park. With support from our team, they enjoyed a peaceful walk, taking in the bright flowers, budding trees and the energy of a new season beginning.

The group were fully engaged, curious and excited to discover what spring had to offer. They loved stopping to admire different flowers and enjoyed capturing the beauty of the day through photos - turning their walk into a creative exploration of nature.

Moments like these help build confidence, independence and personal wellbeing - and we love seeing people choose activities that inspire them. 🌿💛✨

We had a fantastic time at St Christopher's Special School St Francis Journeys Event!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to speak with our Liaise team this week - it was wonderful meeting you all. We loved sharing how we support young adults moving into adult care for the first time, and how we take the time to understand each person as an individual: what matters most to them, what helps them feel safe, and what they want their future to look like.

It was also a brilliant opportunity to highlight the supported living options we offer across the Midlands. Our services provide specialist transition support with a strong track record in managing complex needs with the help of our in-house PBS practitioners. Each new service is co‑produced with the people we support from the outset, ensuring it genuinely reflects their needs, priorities, and aspirations.

If you or someone you support is preparing to move into adult support for the first time, we’d love to hear from you. Our approach focuses on understanding the life each young person wants, what supports their wellbeing, their interests and ambitions, and the community connections that will help them thrive. We work closely with families, teachers, and current support teams so we can build on what’s already working and stay focused on what truly matters. Our in‑house Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Practitioners are here to listen, understand, and champion each person we support. We recognise that everyone communicates in their own way - through words, actions, routines, and behaviours. With PBS, we take the time to understand what matters most to each person, what they’re telling us, and how we can support them to live the life they choose.

What PBS looks like in practice:

· Getting to know each person we support, their routines, likes, dislikes, strengths, and aspirations
· Listening to their family, staff and others who support them
· Spending time with them in everyday moments
· Understanding what their behaviours may be communicating
· Creating strategies together that genuinely reflect who they are

Each PBS plan is shaped by the voices of the people we support. They set out what’s important to them, how best to support them day to day, and what helps when things feel overwhelming. Every plan is grounded in dignity, respect and partnership.

Sunny has been thinking carefully about how he wants to spend his time and how he can build meaningful connections in his community. Recently, he took the lead in planning his own evening out - choosing exactly what he wanted to do and working with staff to co‑produce a risk assessment that felt right for him.

Sunny decided to walk to a local pub, enjoy a drink, and play a game of pool. This was a huge step in showing his growing independence and comfort in familiar community spaces.

He then chose to head to the cinema for a film. With thoughtful support from staff, Sunny had a brilliant time and shared how much he enjoys having evening activities to look forward to!

At Liaise, progress starts with what matters most to each person. When Nathan* first moved into his home, he often felt overwhelmed and struggled to show what he needed. Together, we explored what helped him feel safe, calm and confident - and built his support around his preferences.

By following his lead, we’ve seen incredible changes:

✨ He’s more relaxed through personalised sensory routines
✨ He’s communicating more through gestures and shared attention
✨ He needs fewer restrictions to feel safe
✨ He’s taking part in activities he enjoys and building positive connections

This is what person‑led support looks like: progress that matters, shaped by what Nathan wanted for himself.

Liaise is a finalist for Complex Care Provider of the Year – Large Group at this year’s HealthInvestor Awards!

This nomination is a wonderful recognition of our commitment to truly person‑led specialist support: support that is shaped through co‑production, guided by the voices of the people we support, and strengthened by the expertise of our in‑house Positive Behaviour Support, Speech & Language Therapy, and Occupational Therapy teams.

It also reflects the passion and dedication across our organisation: creating warm, inclusive residential homes and supported living opportunities where people can thrive; investing in our colleagues and environments; and always working towards meaningful outcomes for the people we support.

Thank you to everyone across Liaise who contributes to this work every day.

Supporting Mohammed to visit the mosque was a truly meaningful moment for him - and for all of us. Being able to take part in something so personal allowed him to reconnect with his faith, honour his cultural identity, and feel grounded in something that has always mattered to him.

With gentle, thoughtful support, Mohammed was able to make the journey and take part in the visit with growing confidence and independence. Most importantly, he felt respected, heard, and supported in a way that upheld his spiritual and cultural needs.

These moments remind us what person‑led support really looks like: giving people the space and support to stay connected to the things that make them feel like themselves.

A thank you to the team who supported Mohammed so compassionately. Your kindness, respect and patience make moments like this possible - and help the people we support stay connected to what truly matters in their lives.

Throughout February, the people we support have taken part in meaningful activities to celebrate Dignity Action Month - a powerful reminder that dignity, choice, respect and inclusion sit at the heart of everything we do.

Across our homes, people created Dignity Trees, sharing their own reflections on what dignity means to them and what helps them feel valued. With support from our teams, everyone was encouraged to express what matters most in their daily lives - from having their voice heard to making their own decisions. We’re delighted to share some of their words below.

Some homes also hosted Dignitea Parties, bringing people together over tea, cake and conversation. These moments sparked brilliant discussions about independence, respect and how we can continue strengthening dignity in every aspect of our support.

A heartfelt thank you to our colleagues for creating such welcoming and meaningful spaces - and to the people we support for openly sharing their voices, ideas and experiences.

Together, we remain committed to making dignity not just a monthly focus, but a lived experience every single day.
