Excelcare was proudly established in 1989 as a family-run business. We are still family-run to this day, and instill our family values onto our colleagues, the people we care for, their relatives and friends. As an Excelcare-family, we care for each other, offering support, openness and honesty not only to each other but also to the people who live in our care home and their extended family. We welcome each individual to become part of our family, and each treat each person with dignity and respect, regardless of their age, background or beliefs. We provide high quality, person-centred care at 32 individual and unique care homes situated in Cambridge, Essex, London and Milton Keynes. We also operate a home care service which is based in London.

Join us on Tuesday 27th January as Dementia Care Implementation Business Partner, Ann-Marie Harmer, leads a safe and supportive forum in which she will share her experiences of dementia and information about how it can impact us all.
Our dementia support webinars offer an open and honest forum for discussion about supporting people who live with dementia.
We’re absolutely delighted to announce that following a recent inspection by the CQC, St Georges Court Care Home is now rated GOOD in all five key domains!
We’re especially proud of the focus and commitment shown to the Caring domain, as the home achieved an impressive 85% score, just three percentage points short of an Outstanding rating.
This is a huge accomplishment and one we are incredibly proud of.
Thanks to the leadership of Home Manager, Jayne Wardell, alongside the support from team members, families, professionals and emergency services, we’re incredibly proud that the rating now reflects the kind, compassionate care that is delivered to the people who live there.
Across the Excelcare Family, we welcomed the new year with positivity, gratitude, and hope for the year ahead. 🤞🏻

✨ Happy New Year! ✨
We wish a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year to all our families, friends, and followers.
As we step into 2026, we want to take a moment to say a truly heartfelt thank you for your continued support and for entrusting us with the most important responsibility of all – caring for the people you love. Every person who lives in our homes is part of our extended family, and it is a privilege to support them with dignity, kindness, and compassion each and every day.
Looking back over the past 12 months, we are incredibly proud of what we have achieved together. Highlights include maintaining our place in the Top 20 Large Care Providers in the nationwide Carehome.co.uk Awards, and reaching new records in recording zero use of agency team members, allowing us to provide consistent, familiar care delivered by teams who truly know and care about the people they support.
Above all, we are proud of the relationships built, the moments shared, and the trust placed in us by the people we support and their families. These connections are at the heart of everything we do.
As we look ahead to the New Year, we are excited to build on this success, with some wonderful plans on the horizon that we can’t wait to share with you. Thank you for being part of our journey – together, we continue to make a real difference.

Behind the magic of Christmas across the Excelcare Family are Home Managers, Cares, Chefs, Nurses, Domestic teams, and many others who all go above and beyond, sacrificing time with their own families to make sure Christmas is special for the people who live in our homes. 🎄
From putting up Christmas decorations together, sharing traditional meals, listening to festive music, and the joy of shared smiles and laughter, our team members ensure everything is covered so Christmas continues to be the most wonderful time of the year.
But behind the hard work and extra hours, are the smiles they create – a currency that fills our teams with joy.

🎄 Support Office Christmas Fundraising – Thank You! 🎄
As the year comes to a close, Excelcare would like to thank all Support Office teams for their incredible generosity, creativity and commitment to this year’s Christmas fundraising.
👏 Together, an amazing £2,721.08 was raised, alongside generous gift donations that will make a real difference to children and families this Christmas.
✨ Highlights include:
• Payroll creating shoebox gifts for children via The Entertainer
• CEO & COO Office raising £381.60 for Haven House
• Finance donating 79 gifts (approx. £605.48) to Bromley Brighter Beginnings
• Communications, Engagement & Marketing, Care Quality & Governance & Digital Transformation raising £700 for The Chartwell Children’s Trust through a Christmas Market
• HR & Recruitment raising a fantastic £1,034 for The Chartwell Children’s Trust through custom mug sales
🏆 Congratulations to HR & Recruitment, who achieved the highest fundraising total overall.
A huge thank you to everyone involved for truly embodying the spirit of Christmas and supporting such worthwhile causes.

This year, Excelcare’s Chief Operating Officer, Sam Manning, set care homes across the organisation a special Christmas Advert Challenge.
Inspired by the festive adverts seen on television – including the much-loved and emotional John Lewis Christmas advert – Sam challenged each home to create their own heart-warming Christmas advert.
Despite this being one of the busiest times of the year, many homes embraced the challenge and produced beautiful adverts that truly showcase the magic, warmth and togetherness of Christmas in a care home. Several also thoughtfully reflected some of the challenges that can be faced during the festive season, making the messages even more meaningful.
The creativity, effort and care shown across all entries was clear to see, and Sam is incredibly proud of every team who took part.
