Stretch and breathe… or shake those hips! 💨🕺

Whether our residents joined in with the relaxation and gentle movements of Rise’s chair yoga, or sang their hearts out during Victoria’s White Christmas sing-along, everyone was guaranteed a fun-filled and amazing time.

During chair yoga, we focused on getting our bodies moving, stretching muscles we don’t use every day, and improving flexibility. It’s always a highlight, and our residents love coming back for more.

Victoria’s sing-along brought plenty of Christmas cheer with an hour of joy, laughter, and music. We sang to our hearts’ content, and with the decorations beginning to go up, our residents are certainly starting to feel the festive spirit. 🎤🎄

What a wonderful week we’ve had — and we can’t wait for many more to come!

🌺🌹 We Can’t Wait for Spring to Come Back Around! 🌼🌸

This week, we kicked things off with a fabulous floral painting session, and the creativity in the room was simply blooming! 🖌️🎨

Our residents picked up their paintbrushes and transformed the afternoon into a garden of color. We set up a beautiful display of flower ornaments to inspire their imagination — and it worked perfectly!

The room was filled with laughter, focus, and vibrant splashes of color as each resident created their own little masterpiece. Their artwork brought the spirit of spring straight indoors… and even though it’s only November, our hearts are already in full bloom! 🌷💛

🎂 Birthday Celebration + Pet Therapy = The Perfect Combo! 🐾 ✨

Today we were treated to not one... but TWO amazing moments at Norwood Green Care Home

First, we celebrated our lovely resident, Jennifer's birthday - balloons, decorations, smiles, staff, residents and even a sweet little photo session with her husband. Pure joy! 💕 📸

And just we thought the day couldn't get any better... In came our fluffy, puffy, furry visitors from Bonnie's Pet Therapy Team! 🐶 🐾 Small ones, big ones, extra-wiggly ones - all ready to give cuddles, take cuddles and demand cuddles.

⭐ What a day - warm hearts, wagging tails, birthday sparkles and endless smiles! Honestly... can we have this combo every day?

Happy Hedgehogs and Crinkly Leaves 🦔🍂

We’ve been embracing the changing seasons and using the fallen leaves as our artistic inspiration to create a variety of textured hedgehogs. Our residents got sticky fingers as they glued leaves onto the hedgehog bodies, arranging them to form the perfect spiky coat. Topping them off with a little pom-pom nose, our hedgehogs truly sprang to life. 🧑‍🎨🤎

We just hope they don’t wander around in the night and poke our toes! 👣🍃

🎂 A Week of Brilliant Birthdays! 🎂

As we grow older, we sometimes forget the importance of celebrating our special day, but here, within our big family, we make sure every birthday is filled with joy, laughter, and song! 💖

The decorations go up, the cakes and cards arrive, and we all sing our hearts out to the tune we know so well:

Whether we’ve been making noise or enjoying peace and quiet, this week has been full of fun!

Our residents explored different rhythms with bucket drumming, listening to the beats of music and tapping along to create their own tunes. The room was loud and lively, but filled with so much joy! 🥁🕺

From noisy to quiet, we’ve also spent time in our home library, losing ourselves in the pages of books and enjoying peaceful moments of reflection. 📖💜

It may be chilly, but that's not stopping us!!! 🍃🌳

We've been spending time in the crisp autumn air, wrapped in blanket burritos, making the most of the sunshine before winter rolls in. 🍂🌤️

Our residents have been enjoying strolls around the local park, exploring their senses — listening to the wind blowing and the rustling leaves, watching the trees sway, and spotting runners in funky outfits (they gave us a good giggle!). 🏃😆

We’ll continue to brave the cold and adventure out, maybe even building snowmen soon! ⛄

Recently, we had a special visit from Bonnie's adorable pets, and let's just say - it was pure fluff heaven! 💕
Residents couldn't stop smiling (and neither could we!) as they enjoyed cuddles, wet noses and a whole lot of furry love. It's amazing how a few paws and wagging tail can brighten everyone's day!
