Run, Talk, Raise:
helping your LGBT group to thrive! Volunteers not delivering? Can't get your message across? Frustrated by lack of funds? Is your LGBT group becoming too much of a challenge? Running an organisation isn’t easy, especially when all or most of those involved are volunteers. Whether you are an LGBT charity, community group or a social enterprise, you need the right skills to manage your organisation, to communicate with members, external audiences and the media, as well as to raise funds. Run, Talk, Raise
is a one day workshop designed especially for LGBT volunteer-led groups and will help you address all these challenges, through offering high-value expertise by established experts at a really affordable price. By the end of the one-day course you will have learnt the essentials skills to:

RUN: Manage your group more effectively:
o Develop and grow your group
o Meet your aims and objectives
o Develop a long-term vision and action plan
o (one other?) Improve relationships between trustees, staff, members and beneficiaries

TALK: Communicate with the right audiences:
o Gain and retain members and volunteers through effective internal communication
o Sell tickets, raise funds, raise awareness – whatever your group needs to do
o Use the media and PR to promote your work, projects and events
o Use social media and other low-cost online marketing tools to communicate with members, supporters, fans and the media

RAISE: Fundraise for today and the future:
o Develop a strong fundraising story and strategy
o Know how to make your organisation financially stable and sustainable
o Build relationships with corporate sponsors, charitable trusts and public funders, as well as individual donors. o Make fundraising a central part of your group’s activities, not an after-thought or add-on. The emphasis throughout the day will be on practical, easy-to-apply solutions and tools that you can start using immediately with your group or organisation. There will also be opportunities to socialise and network with fellow delegates. Those attending will follow one of the three themes Run, Talk or Raise

We are encouraging organisations to send at least three members, one for each stream. A discount is available if more than one place is booked at the same time and from the same group. You will have the opportunity to interact with delegates on the other streams when we come together during the day in two focused, interactive sessions led by the facilitators. Who’s leading the course? Run, Talk, Raise is organised and led by BKB Impact, a trio of acknowledged experts in their fields, each with extensive experience in the LGBT sector:
