Did you know there is a national slime day? (We didn't!)
Slime is undoubtedly going to be one of the most popular presents this Christmas, especially slime-making kits.
The writer of this article has two kids, both under ten, who LOVE slime. Especially the slime they have made themselves.
But is it safe?

We provide relevant, accessible adult & child first aid and health and safety courses.
Safe and Sound was set up in January 2000 when Tina Lazarus and Roma Felstein got together to address the lack of good quality and accessible paediatric first aid training available to parents and child carers.
We were soon asked to provide adult as well as paediatric first aid training and our client base has grown to include Blue Chip companies and Local Authorities. We now offer a broad range of Health and Safety related courses following our tried and trusted model of working only with great instructors who are experts in their chosen field.
Tina’s passion for good first aid training is fired by her personal childhood experience:
“Anyone can tick the first aid training box but not everyone leaves their course feeling confident and empowered to actually step in when needed.
“As a young child, my life was saved by a passer-by who took action when I fell from a second storey window in our family home. It was a hot summer day and I had gone up to my bedroom in search of a toy.
“The wind blew the door shut and my mum and siblings couldn’t hear me calling from the back garden. Although I can’t really remember how it happened I must have climbed onto a chest of drawers and then sat on the window ledge to call for help (there were no window locks in the 1960s) before falling into a flower bed – missing the spike of a lantern and the tarmac of the driveway by inches!
“A passerby spotted me and gave first aid before tracking down my poor mum who had no idea what had happened!
“Thankfully I escaped with cuts and bruises and lived to tell the tale but it could have been very different if the passer by had not had the confidence to take action.
“I care deeply about what we do as a company and our team work hard to ensure that the experience we provide to our clients and learners is positive and personal from beginning to end.
“I hope that you will want to work with us and look forward to hearing from you.”
